The 2026 Skoda Kushaq facelift has commenced deliveries nationally, priced from Rs. 10.69 lakh (ex-showroom) across five trim levels.
Skoda's value-first approach brings an electric sunroof and an eight-speed automatic transmission to even the entry-level variant.
Skoda has wasted no time. Barely a fortnight after announcing prices, the brand has begun delivering the new Kushaq facelift to customers across the country, with prices starting from Rs. 10.69 lakh (ex-showroom).
For a segment that rarely sits still, with fresh rivals seemingly arriving every other month, Skoda's prompt turnaround from announcement to delivery shows a certain confidence in the updated model.
A Crowded Segment, But Skoda Has a Plan
The Kushaq facelift walks into a ring full of heavyweights. Its competition includes the Maruti Grand Vitara, Hyundai Creta, Tata Sierra, Kia Seltos, Toyota Hyryder, Tata Curvv, Volkswagen Taigun, and the MG Astor, among others.
Dethroning the Creta is not necessarily what Skoda is gunning for here. Instead, the Czech brand has taken a more measured, value-driven approach, one where the goal is to offer meaningful features at every price point, rather than reserving them exclusively for the top-spec trims.
Sunroof and Auto Gearbox at the Entry Level, Skoda's Smartest Move Yet
All Kushaq variants now come with an electric sunroof as standard, with the higher Prestige and Monte Carlo trims stepping up to a panoramic unit. That kind of thinking speaks directly to the Indian car buyer's wishlist, where a sunroof remains one of the most requested features regardless of budget. Most rivals either skip it at entry level or charge a notable premium for the privilege.
Then there is the gearbox story. The Classic+ variant now offers both manual and automatic options, making it one of the most feature-loaded entry-level offerings in the segment. The 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine now gets a new eight-speed torque converter automatic, replacing the older six-speed unit, a welcome upgrade that makes the driving experience noticeably smoother.
In most competing models, automatic gearboxes tend to be locked behind mid or higher trims, effectively forcing buyers to spend more just to get the convenience of a torque converter. Skoda has done away with that barrier.
Variants, Colours, and Engine Options
The new 2026 Skoda Kushaq is available in five variants: Classic+, Signature, Sportline, Prestige and Monte Carlo. It is offered in eight premium colour options, Carbon Steel, Lava Blue, Deep Black, Candy White, Brilliant Silver, Cherry Red, Shimla Green and Steel Grey. Three of those shades are entirely new additions to the palette.
Under the bonnet, the Kushaq continues with its proven turbo petrol engines. The 1.0 TSI produces 114 bhp and 178 Nm, while the 1.5 TSI delivers 150 bhp and 250 Nm, paired with a seven-speed DSG gearbox.
The 1.5-litre engine also benefits from Active Cylinder Technology for improved efficiency. The familiar engine lineup will reassure existing Kushaq fans, and the addition of the new eight-speed automatic gives buyers more reason to consider the lower trims than ever before.
