Skoda India's performance-focused flagship SUV saw all 50 units of its initial allocation sell out within six minutes of bookings opening on June 22, 2026.
Boasting a robust 265hp powertrain, advanced dynamics, and a premium cabin, the Kodiaq RS is the quickest Skoda ever officially launched in India.
Skoda Auto India has announced that the first batch of the all-new Kodiaq RS has been fully booked within just 6 minutes of opening reservations. The strong response comes even before the company has officially announced the SUV's price, highlighting the popularity of Skoda's RS performance models among Indian enthusiasts.
The Kodiaq RS is the most performance-focused version of Skoda's flagship SUV and marks the first time the iconic RS badge has been offered on a seven-seat SUV in India. The model is being brought to the country in limited numbers, with only 50 units allocated in the first batch.
Skoda Kodiaq RS Engine and Performance
Powering the Kodiaq RS is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that produces 265 hp and 400 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 7-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission and Skoda's all-wheel-drive (AWD) system as standard. The performance SUV can sprint from 0-100 kmph in 6.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 231 kmph.
To complement its performance credentials, Skoda has equipped the Kodiaq RS with Dynamic Chassis Control Plus (DCC Plus) adaptive suspension, helping deliver a balance of sporty handling, stability, and everyday comfort.
Sporty RS Styling and Colour Options
The Kodiaq RS receives several visual upgrades over the standard model. The SUV features a gloss-black grille, blacked-out exterior accents, RS badging, sportier bumpers and distinctive Matrix LED headlights.
These changes give the SUV a more aggressive and performance-orientated appearance while retaining the practicality of a three-row family SUV.
Skoda will offer the Kodiaq RS in four exterior colour options:
Moon White
Steel Grey
Velvet Red
Magic Black
Kodiaq RS Premium Interior and Features
Inside, the Kodiaq RS features an all-black cabin theme with red contrast stitching and RS-specific detailing. The SUV combines performance-orientated design with a premium feature list aimed at enhancing comfort and convenience.
Key highlights include:
12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system
10.25-inch digital instrument cluster
13-speaker Canton audio system
Ventilated and heated front sport seats
Panoramic sunroof
Three-zone climate control
Dual 15-watt wireless charging pads
Advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS)
Safety equipment includes 9 airbags, a 360-degree camera, a tyre pressure monitoring system and multiple driver assistance technologies.
Skoda Kodiaq Expected Price and Market Response
While Skoda is yet to announce official pricing, the Kodiaq RS is expected to be priced around ₹50.00 lakh to ₹55 lakh (ex-showroom), positioning it as the flagship model in the Kodiaq range.
The rapid sell-out mirrors the success of the Octavia RS, which also generated strong demand when introduced in India. With the first batch already sold out, it remains to be seen whether Skoda allocates additional units of the Kodiaq RS for the Indian market.
