Bookings for the Mahindra XUV 3XO ZNG are open, with prices ranging from ₹9.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
The CNG SUV gets a 1.2-litre turbocharged engine, twin CNG cylinders and claimed fuel efficiency of 24.7 km/kg.
Mahindra has opened bookings for the XUV 3XO ZNG, adding a CNG-powered option to its compact SUV range. The model combines a turbocharged petrol engine with a factory-fitted CNG system and is offered with a six-speed manual gearbox.
Twin-Cylinder Layout and Boot Space
The Mahindra XUV 3XO ZNG uses two CNG cylinders positioned beneath the luggage area. This layout helps maintain a flat loading floor while providing space for luggage.
The SUV also retains a spare wheel mounted underneath the body. This means owners have a spare tyre available rather than having to rely solely on a tyre repair kit in the event of a puncture.
Engine, Performance and Mileage
The XUV 3XO ZNG is powered by a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine paired with a factory-fitted CNG system. It produces 110 bhp and 200 Nm of torque in both petrol and CNG modes, according to the manufacturer's specifications.
A six-speed manual gearbox is the only transmission option. Mahindra claims fuel efficiency of 24.7 km/kg in CNG mode. The same engine output in both fuel modes is a key feature of this CNG-powered SUV.
The system can also switch to petrol mode when the CNG supply runs low, giving drivers another fuel option without needing to stop immediately to refill the CNG cylinders.
XUV 3XO CNG Features and Safety
The XUV 3XO ZNG offers features such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument display, a panoramic sunroof and a 360-degree camera.
Connected LED tail-lights, tyre pressure monitoring and three steering modes - Comfort, Normal and Sport are also among its equipment highlights.
Safety features include six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), ISOFIX child-seat mounts and disc brakes on all four wheels. Equipment availability may vary by variant, so buyers should check the specifications of their preferred trim.
Rivals in the Compact SUV Segment
The Mahindra XUV 3XO ZNG competes with CNG-powered versions of the Tata Nexon and Maruti Suzuki Brezza. Its turbocharged engine, claimed 200 Nm of torque in both fuel modes and twin-cylinder arrangement are key points to consider when comparing these models.
With bookings open and deliveries having commenced, the XUV 3XO ZNG gives buyers another CNG option in the compact SUV segment.
