Bookings for the Kodiaq RS are now open with a token amount of ₹3 lakh, while only 50 units have been allocated for the Indian market initially.
The flagship SUV will launch in the coming weeks in a single top-spec trim, featuring a heavily upgraded 261 bhp powertrain and a choice of four distinct exterior colours.
Skoda Auto India has officially opened bookings for the all-new Kodiaq RS, marking the arrival of the most performance-orientated version of its flagship SUV. The company is expected to announce prices soon, with deliveries likely to commence shortly after the official launch.
The Kodiaq RS joins the recently introduced second-generation Kodiaq lineup and is aimed at buyers seeking a premium family SUV with stronger performance credentials, sportier styling and additional equipment. With bookings now underway, Skoda is preparing to expand its presence in India's premium three-row SUV segment.
Skoda Kodiaq RS Engine and Performance
The performance-focused SUV is designed to offer a balance of everyday practicality and sporty driving dynamics. Compared to the standard Kodiaq, the RS variant benefits from increased power output, sharper performance characteristics and RS-specific chassis tuning.
Powering the new Kodiaq RS is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that produces 261 bhp and 400 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission and Skoda's all-wheel-drive system as standard. The SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 6.3 seconds and has a claimed top speed of 231 kmph.
Skoda Kodiaq RS Sportier Exterior Design
The Kodiaq RS receives several visual upgrades that help distinguish it from the standard model. The SUV features a gloss-black front grille, black exterior accents, RS badging and redesigned bumpers that give it a more aggressive appearance.
Additional styling enhancements include larger alloy wheels, sportier detailing throughout the exterior and distinctive lighting elements that reinforce its performance-orientated character. The overall design retains the practicality of the standard Kodiaq while adding a more dynamic road presence.
Four Colour Options at Launch
Skoda will offer the Kodiaq RS in four exterior colour choices in India:
Steel Grey
Velvet Red
Race Blue
Moon White
These colour options have been selected to complement the SUV's sporty styling package while providing buyers with a mix of subtle and vibrant finishes.
Premium Cabin and Features
Inside, the Kodiaq RS receives a sportier cabin layout featuring RS-specific design elements and premium materials. The interior is expected to combine luxury, practicality and advanced technology for both driver and passengers.
Key features are expected to include the following:
12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system
10.25-inch digital instrument cluster
Premium sport seats
Three-zone climate control
Panoramic sunroof
45W Type-C charging ports
Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
Advanced driver assistance and safety systems
The cabin continues to offer three-row seating, making the Kodiaq RS one of the few performance-focused SUVs in India that can comfortably accommodate larger families.
Skoda Kodiaq Expected Price
While Skoda has not yet announced official pricing, the Kodiaq RS is expected to be priced between ₹50 lakh and ₹55 lakh (ex-showroom), positioning it above the standard Kodiaq in the brand's India lineup. The performance-focused SUV is likely to appeal to buyers seeking a combination of sporty driving dynamics, premium features, and three-row practicality.
Once launched, the Kodiaq RS will strengthen Skoda's premium SUV portfolio and appeal to enthusiasts seeking a more engaging driving experience without sacrificing everyday usability.
With bookings now open and prices expected to be announced soon, the Kodiaq RS is shaping up to be one of the most exciting performance-orientated SUV launches in India's premium segment.
