Maruti Suzuki Dzire Prices Increased by Up to ₹7,500 in India: Variant-Wise Details

Maruti Suzuki has revised the prices of the popular Dzire sedan in India, with select variants becoming costlier by up to ₹7,500. The latest price update affects multiple petrol and CNG trims while retaining the sedan's feature list, engine options and strong value proposition in the highly competitive compact sedan segment.

  • Maruti Suzuki has rolled out a price hike across the Dzire lineup, bumping the costs up by Rs. 5,000 for standard variants and Rs. 7,500 for CNG models.

  • The entry-level LXi petrol manual variant remains unaffected by this price revision, keeping the starting price locked at Rs. 6.26 lakh.

Maruti Suzuki has announced a new price revision for the Dzire in India. The compact sedan, which continues to be one of the brand's best-selling models, is now more expensive by up to ₹7,500 depending on the variant selected. The latest increase comes as part of the company's ongoing pricing adjustments across its portfolio amid rising input and operational costs.

Despite the revision, the Dzire remains one of the strongest contenders in the compact sedan segment thanks to its efficient powertrain options, extensive service network and competitive feature package.

Maruti Dzire Variant-Wise Price Revision

Maruti Suzuki has implemented a selective price revision across the Dzire lineup, with the increase varying depending on the variant and fuel type. The entry-level LXi petrol manual variant remains unaffected by the latest update, continuing to be priced at ₹6.26 lakh (ex-showroom), helping maintain the sedan's accessible entry point.

The highest increase of ₹7,500 has been applied to the VXi CNG and ZXi CNG variants, reflecting growing demand for factory-fitted CNG models and rising input costs. Meanwhile, all other petrol variants, including manual and automatic transmission options, have received a uniform price hike of ₹5,000.

Following the latest revision, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire is now priced between ₹6.26 lakh and ₹9.36 lakh (ex-showroom), depending on the variant selected.

Why the Maruti Dzire Continue to Lead the Compact Sedan Segment?

Despite the latest price revision, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire remains one of India's best-selling passenger cars. At a time when consumer preferences are increasingly shifting towards SUVs, the compact sedan has continued to maintain strong demand thanks to its fuel efficiency, practicality, reliability, and wide service network.

The Dzire was Maruti Suzuki's best-selling model in calendar year 2025, recording over 2.14 lakh units in sales between January and December. Its strong performance reflects the continued demand for practical, fuel-efficient and value-for-money sedans, even as the Indian market increasingly shifts towards SUVs.

Competition Set to Intensify

While the Dzire continues to dominate the compact sedan segment, competition is expected to increase in the coming months. The upcoming Tata Tigor facelift is likely to bring updated styling, new features and improved technology, making the segment more competitive.

The Dzire will continue to compete with established rivals such as the Hyundai Aura. However, with its strong brand reputation, extensive sales network, and proven track record, the Dzire remains well-positioned to maintain its leadership in the compact sedan market despite the recent price hike.
