Renault Kiger Gets New Variants, Turbo From Rs 7.89 L

Renault India has quietly but meaningfully expanded the Kiger's variant lineup, bringing four new trims to the B-SUV range. The highlight is the new Evolution+ grade, which slots in between existing variants to offer features like push-button start, automatic climate control, and wireless smartphone connectivity at more approachable price points. The turbo-petrol range also grows from three to five options.

  • Renault India expands Kiger lineup with four new variants, including the new Evolution+ trim across NA and turbo-petrol powertrains.

  • The Kiger Turbo range grows from three to five variants, with prices now starting at Rs 7.89 lakh ex-showroom.

Renault India has expanded the Kiger lineup with the addition of four new variants, covering both the naturally aspirated and turbo-petrol versions.

The update, announced on June 24, 2026, is squarely aimed at giving buyers more flexibility across the range without any changes to the powertrains themselves.

The Kiger continues with the same 1.0-litre naturally aspirated and 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engines, paired with either a 5-speed manual, Easy-R AMT, or X-Tronic CVT depending on the variant chosen.

New Evolution+ Trim Sits at the Heart of the Update

The centrepiece of this lineup expansion is the freshly introduced Evolution+ variant, which positions itself between the existing Evolution and Techno trims. It is available in three configurations, naturally aspirated with a manual gearbox, naturally aspirated with an AMT, and turbo-petrol with a manual. What makes it noteworthy is the feature step-up it brings over the standard Evolution grade.

Buyers moving up to the Evolution+ gain Smart Access Card with push-button start and stop, driver seat height adjustment, wireless smartphone replication, automatic climate control, and light embossed fabric upholstery. These were previously exclusive to higher variants, so getting them at closer to the entry-level price is a genuine improvement for the value-conscious buyer.

Kiger Turbo Range Grows to Five Variants

On the turbo side, Renault has expanded the Kiger's offering from three variants to five. Alongside the new Evolution+ Turbo MT, a Techno Turbo Manual variant has also been added. This gives buyers the option of a fully featured Techno-grade Kiger without being locked into the CVT automatic, a combination that previously did not exist.

Renault has also positioned the turbo Kiger as the most affordable turbocharged SUV in the entry B-SUV segment, with the range now starting at Rs 7.89 lakh ex-showroom.

Kiger Turbo Variant Prices (Ex-Showroom)

The five turbo-petrol variants are priced as follows:

The Evolution+ Turbo MT starts at Rs 7.89 lakh, followed by the Techno Turbo MT at Rs 8.45 lakh.

The Emotion Turbo MT and Techno Turbo CVT are both priced at Rs 9.35 lakh, while the range-topping Emotion Turbo CVT is priced at Rs 10.35 lakh.

Naturally Aspirated Range Now Spans Eight Variants

The naturally aspirated Kiger range has also grown to eight variants. Manual options start from Rs 5.81 lakh for the Authentic MT, moving up through the Evolution MT at Rs 6.55 lakh, the new Evolution+ MT at Rs 6.99 lakh, the Techno MT at Rs 7.55 lakh, and the Emotion MT at Rs 8.45 lakh.

For those preferring the AMT gearbox, the Evolution AMT and Evolution+ AMT are priced at Rs 6.99 lakh and Rs 7.45 lakh respectively, with the Techno AMT rounding things off at Rs 8.05 lakh.

No Mechanical Changes to the Kiger

It is worth noting that Renault has not altered the Kiger mechanically with this update. The expansion is purely a lineup and trim restructuring exercise, adding grades that plug gaps in the variant chart.

For a model competing in a fiercely contested segment, the move to bring premium convenience features further down the range is a sensible one, and it gives the Kiger a broader appeal without nudging entry prices upward.
