With a rise in the collections of the user fee from all the toll plazas of the country, the overall toll collection in FY25 is going to surpass last year's high. Rajasthan has up to 156 toll plazas, followed by 97 user fee plazas in Uttar Pradesh and 90 toll plazas in Madhya Pradesh. In the same manner, there are 89 toll plazas in Maharashtra, 78 in Tamil Nadu, 72 in Andhra Pradesh, and 60 toll plazas around Delhi.

Rajasthan has the highest number of 156 toll plazas, followed by Uttar Pradesh's 97 user fee plazas and Madhya Pradesh's 90 toll plazas. Likewise, Maharashtra has 89 toll plazas, Tamil Nadu has 78, and Andhra Pradesh has 72.

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has imposed a 4-5 percent increase in toll rates for users of national highways and expressways. The enhanced toll fares have been implemented with effect from April 1 as part of the annual review process based on wholesale price index (WPI) inflation.

The country's largest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki, had a total of 1,795,259 passenger vehicles sold in the domestic market for FY2025.
