New FASTag circular

Regarding reports indicating modifications to FASTag regulations that can result in a decrease in transactions, if the tag is inactive for more than 60 minutes prior to or up to 10 minutes following the read time, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has provided clarification.


The New FASTag circular states that no deductions in an inactive FASTag would be charged.

The circular, according to NHAI, is intended to help Acquirer Banks and Issuer Banks resolve disputes about FASTag status when a car reaches a toll plaza.
