The Maruti e-Vitara "electric SUV" will launch for the festive season, but the auto company will not be able to ramp up production until October because the Maruti e-Vitara has been impacted by a materials shortage. The April-September production volume has been slashed by a staggering 69%, which is going to contribute to longer delivery wait times if the ramped-up production is unable to meet Maruti's annual production volume target. 

Maruti plans to hold back 69% of e-Vitara production volume for the first half of FY2026, and therefore, delivery waiting times for buyers will be extended if/when the new vehicle launches during the festive season.
