VinFast Intends to Expand Significantly in India in 2026 with New EVs and Showrooms

With ambitions to greatly increase its sales and service network throughout India, VinFast is getting ready for a big push in 2026. By expanding into smaller towns and introducing new electric models specifically designed for Indian consumers, the Vietnamese electric vehicle maker hopes to increase its footprint outside of large cities. In order to promote EV adoption and establish a solid long-term presence in the Indian market, VinFast will also concentrate on partnerships and charging infrastructure.

  • VinFast intends to expand its network of service and sales centers from 35 to 75 throughout India.

  • In 2026, the business plans to expand its network of charging stations and introduce three new electric cars.

This year, VinFast, a Vietnamese company well-known for its quickly expanding line of electric cars, will increase its footprint in India. The business intends to more than double this network to 75 locations by the end of 2026, having established 35 sales and service "touchpoints" in 2025.

VinFast will be able to reach customers in a larger portion of the nation by expanding into smaller Tier-3 and Tier-4 towns in addition to large cities.

Increasing Clientele from Large Cities to Small Towns

In its most recent statement, VinFast described how it will expand its retail presence by bolstering its facilities in current cities and collaborating with regional merchants to establish more service and display locations in developing countries. It is anticipated that this strategy will increase the accessibility of sales and after-sales services for those who reside outside of major urban centers.

VinFast intends to increase charging infrastructure in addition to dealerships. The business will create its own V-Green charging network and cooperate with fuel supplier HPCL to set up EV charging stations at certain places around the nation. These initiatives are intended to lessen range anxiety and encourage regular EV ownership.

New Electric Vehicles Will Launch in 2026

VinFast is expanding in terms of both product selection and locations. The company has stated that three new electric vehicle models will be available in India in 2026. The first will be a seven-seat electric MPV that is a localized version of its Limo Green model and is anticipated to be available for both commercial and private users in the first half of the year.

The VF5 and VF3, which are intended to serve smaller and more reasonably priced markets, are the next two versions. Additionally, the VF5 is probably going to be included in VinFast's upcoming electric ride-hailing services, which will broaden consumers' experiences with EVs beyond private ownership.

VinFast's approach in India seems to go beyond traditional auto sales. The business is investigating EV-powered ride-hailing services, utilizing novel urban mobility utilization patterns. VinFast intends to play a significant role in the quickly expanding electric vehicle market in India by concentrating on dealerships, charging stations, and a variety of vehicle options.

VinFast's aspirations to become a well-known EV brand in Asia's largest automobile market are reflected in its plans for a wider retail presence and a more comprehensive product selection as India continues to embrace electric mobility. 2026 is expected to be a critical year for VinFast's expansion in India, with projects ranging from new cars to infrastructure.
