Before its formal launch, the India-spec Nissan Gravite is being tested, according to new photos.
The design features, anticipated specs, launch schedule, and what consumers might expect are all included in the article.
Ahead of its formal premiere in early 2026, the India-spec Nissan Gravite has recently been seen undergoing road testing, providing enthusiasts with a close-up look at important exterior elements despite the extensive camouflage. As Nissan prepares to launch its new seven-seater MPV on the market, the test vehicle was spotted on Indian roads.
Although it is built on the same CMF-A+ chassis as the Renault Triber, Nissan has given the Gravite its own distinctive style. Although its dimensions are comparable to those of the Triber, it stands out because of features like a multi-slat front grille, sharper headlamps, and a unique bumper design.
Design: Known Yet Unique
The Gravite's front fascia appears to have sleek headlamps with integrated DRLs and a distinctively curved grille, giving it a different appearance from its platform-mate, according to spy photos.
Roof rails and side stairs suggest a functional, family-friendly design, while chrome accents around the fog lamps and striking body cladding provide visual appeal.
The back end features distinct Gravite branding, a Nissan emblem, and C-shaped tail lamps. The tiny MPV's silhouette is completed with features like a squared-off bumper and rear wiper.
What's Yet to be Revealed
The Gravite is anticipated to have a 1.0-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine with 71–72 PS and 96 Nm of torque, mated to either a five-speed manual or a five-speed AMT transmission, though Nissan hasn't yet verified every technical feature.
In keeping with the trend of inexpensive family cars in India, a CNG alternative might also be provided.
Family Appeal and Features
The Gravite is anticipated to have a number of amenities appropriate for family use, even if the interior hasn't been fully disclosed yet. An eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, a digital instrument cluster, automated climate control, and rear air conditioning vents are among the anticipated features. It's also likely to have safety measures like six airbags (standard), ABS with ESC, and a multi-view camera.
Launch Schedule and Cost
The MPV is anticipated to arrive in showrooms by March 2026, with Nissan planning to formally introduce the Gravite in early 2026.
According to preliminary estimates, the ex-showroom pricing range is between ₹6 lakh and ₹9 lakh, placing it competitively in India's compact MPV market.
