The 2026 Tata Tiago and Tiago EV receive sweeping exterior and interior upgrades before their official India price announcement on 28 May 2026.
The CNG Tiago becomes the first in its segment to offer paddle shifters, raising the feature bar in the affordable hatchback space.
Tata Motors is all set to announce prices for the updated Tiago and Tiago EV in India on 28 May 2026. In the run-up to the launch, the brand has released multiple videos previewing key changes across both the petrol and electric versions of the popular hatchback. The launches will be followed by the Sierra EV, which Tata has confirmed for the next financial quarter.
Exterior Revisions Give the Tiago a More Contemporary Stance
The 2026 Tiago and Tiago EV arrive with a noticeably refreshed appearance. Both variants get new LED headlamps and redesigned LED taillights, a fresh grille, revised front and rear bumpers, and new alloy wheel designs.
The window lines and door mirrors now feature a blacked-out finish, lending the car a more modern, purposeful character. It is a cohesive update that brings the Tiago visually in line with the current design direction seen across Tata's broader range.
The Cabin Receives Its Most Significant Overhaul in Recent Memory
Step inside the new Tiago and the changes are even more apparent. The dashboard has been redesigned around a large freestanding touchscreen infotainment system and a new floating instrument cluster, both of which give the cabin a noticeably more premium feel.
The gear lever has been replaced by a rotary dial, while the steering wheel is a new two-spoke multifunction unit. Buyers also get a 360-degree camera, rear AC vents, a wireless charger, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, new upholstery, and a 65W Type-C fast-charging port. It is a considerable step up in everyday usability.
Powertrain Carries Over, Though CNG Gets a Segment-First Trick
Petrol and CNG Options Expected to Continue Unchanged
Under the bonnet, the 2026 Tata Tiago is expected to retain the familiar 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, available with both manual and AMT gearbox options. The CNG variant is set to continue as well, but with a notable addition.
Tata has confirmed that the CNG-AMT combination will come with paddle shifters, making the Tiago the first car in its segment to offer this feature on a CNG setup. The electric derivative is also expected to carry over its existing powertrain options without change.
Sierra EV Confirmed as the Next Big Launch From Tata
With the Tiago twins sorted, attention will soon shift to the Sierra EV, which Tata has confirmed will arrive in the next financial quarter. Estimated prices for the next-gen Tiago range from Rs 4.59 lakh to Rs 7.90 lakh, while the next-gen Tiago EV is expected to be priced between Rs 7.99 lakh and Rs 11.14 lakh.
