2026 Honda City Facelift, Variants, Colour Options, and Everything You Need to Know

Honda Cars India has officially launched the 2026 City facelift at a starting price of Rs. 12 lakh (ex-showroom), bringing with it a refreshed variant lineup and a palette of six colour options. The updated sedan is available in both standard petrol and petrol-hybrid (e:HEV) guises, with the hybrid powertrain reserved exclusively for the top-spec trim. Here is a full breakdown of what buyers can expect.

  • The 2026 Honda City facelift starts at Rs. 12 lakh (ex-showroom) and is offered in four variants.

  • It is available in six colour options across 1.5-litre petrol and petrol-hybrid (e:HEV) powertrains.

Honda Cars India launched the 2026 City facelift earlier this month, and the car has wasted no time in drawing attention.

Prices open at Rs. 12 lakh (ex-showroom), which keeps the City firmly in contention in a segment that has never been short of capable options.

Alongside the City, Honda also took the wraps off the ZR-V SUV at the same event, with pre-bookings for that model now open and a market launch pencilled in for July.

Six Colours to Choose From, A Palette That Covers the Essentials

When it comes to personalisation, Honda has given buyers a reasonable spread to work with. The 2026 City is available in six colour options, namely Crystal Black Pearl, Radiant Red Metallic, Obsidian Blue Pearl, Meteoroid Grey Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic, and Platinum White Pearl.

The selection covers the classic preferences well enough, from the understated (Meteoroid Grey, Lunar Silver) to the more expressive (Radiant Red, Obsidian Blue).

Four Variants on Offer, With the Hybrid Reserved for the Top Trim

In terms of the variant structure, Honda has made a minor but notable rejig for 2026. The City is now offered in four trims, SV, V, ZX, and ZX+.

Buyers looking to experience the petrol-hybrid (e:HEV) powertrain will need to opt for the range-topping ZX+ variant, as it is not available in any of the three variants below it.

Both the standard 1.5-litre petrol and the e:HEV powertrains carry over from the previous model in terms of configuration.

On-Road Prices Vary Significantly Across Cities

For those weighing the on-road costs across different locations, the numbers vary noticeably depending on the city.

Mumbai comes in at Rs. 14.37 lakh, Bangalore at Rs. 14.84 lakh, Delhi at Rs. 14.03 lakh, and Pune at Rs. 14.26 lakh. These figures reflect the impact of local taxes and registration charges on the final amount a buyer ends up paying.

Road Test Coming Soon, A Full Review Expected on 30 May

A full road test of the 2026 Honda City is currently in progress, with a comprehensive review scheduled to go live on 30 May at 11 AM.

For those sitting on the fence, that should offer a far clearer picture of how the updated sedan drives in real-world conditions.
