Hyundai Prepares to Unveil Its Biggest Electric Vehicle in 2026

Hyundai is gearing up to showcase a major leap in its electric journey with the unveiling of its biggest electric vehicle yet. Scheduled to debut at the Brussels Motor Show in January 2026, the upcoming EV will sit above the current flagship models and is expected to feature cutting-edge 800-volt charging technology. Alongside this reveal, Hyundai will also present an updated Ioniq 6, underlining its push towards larger, more advanced and globally competitive electric vehicles.

  • At the 2026 Brussels Motor Show, Hyundai will unveil its biggest electric car to date.

  • Leading Hyundai's current lineup, the new EV will have cutting-edge 800-volt charging technology. An upgraded Ioniq 6 will also make its debut.

As it gets ready to unveil what it refers to as its "biggest EV yet" at the Brussels Motor Show, which is set for January 9–18, 2026, Hyundai is making a significant statement to start 2026.

Hyundai's existing electric car lineup, which already includes well-known models like the flagship Ioniq 9 and the tiny Inster, is anticipated to feature this new model at the top.

This future EV will have cutting-edge electric architecture, including an 800-volt charging system intended for quicker charging and more energy efficiency, according to teaser photos released by the automaker.

Excitement is growing as fans and experts predict that this car may be a completely electric version of the spacious MPV-style Staria or a brand-new segment-leading EV, even though Hyundai has not yet disclosed the model's official name or exact specifications.

What Sets This Reveal Apart

With the release of this EV, Hyundai's electrification strategy has advanced significantly. Compared to many current EVs, the promise of cutting-edge technology like an 800-volt design indicates faster and more efficient charging.

Customers looking for an electric vehicle with both size and performance may find this model appealing because it is positioned above the Ioniq 9 in the lineup.

On the same occasion, Hyundai intends to present an improved Ioniq 6 in addition to the major EV revelation. This upgraded electric car will have new interior technology and design changes targeted at improving aerodynamics, giving it a more contemporary appearance and feel for the European auto show audience.

Future Plans for Hyundai's EV Lineup

Although pricing, powertrain parameters, and range estimates are all being kept under wraps, this announcement indicates that Hyundai is significantly expediting its transition to electrification.

Hyundai's choice to take the lead with a sizable and cutting-edge electric model demonstrates its intention to compete at the top tiers of the EV industry as EVs become more and more popular in international markets.

As the dates of the Brussels Motor Show draw near, buyers and enthusiasts will be keeping a close eye on Hyundai as they finally unveil all the details of this fascinating new electric car.
