The 2026 Tata Tiago gets a thorough facelift with a redesigned exterior, a modern interior, and a significantly upgraded feature list across petrol, CNG, and electric variants.
Prices start at Rs 4.69 lakh for the petrol and Tiago EV (BaaS), Rs 5.79 lakh for the CNG, and Rs 6.99 lakh for the Tiago EV on outright purchase, all ex-showroom.
Tata Motors has officially pulled the wraps off the 2026 Tiago in India, and it has done so across three powertrain options in one go. This is the second major facelift the Tiago has received since its debut over a decade ago, with the first comprehensive refresh having arrived in 2020.
The updated hatchback now rivals the Maruti Suzuki Celerio and the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, and it arrives with enough changes to make those rivals sit up and take notice.
A Sharper Look and a Thoroughly Modernised Cabin
Redesigned Front End Sets a More Upright Stance
The 2026 Tiago's exterior has been revised quite substantially. The reworked front end carries sharper headlamps, a slimmer and higher-set grille, and a redesigned bumper with a much larger air dam, lending the fascia a considerably more upright appearance.
The rear follows suit with a connected tail-lamp arrangement, a subtler roof spoiler, and a cleaner bumper.
On the sides, new 15-inch alloy wheel designs and blacked-out wheel arch cladding round off the changes. Six colour options are on offer, including Daytona Grey, Pangong Pulse, Pristine White, Pure Grey, Sobo Surge, and Varanasi Vibrance.
New Flat Dashboard Layout Replaces the Flowing Design of Before
Inside, the changes are arguably more significant. The flowing design of the previous dashboard gives way to a flatter, more linear aesthetic that looks notably more modern, while the instrument binnacle has been removed.
AMT variants now get a rotary gear selector, replacing the conventional unit. The feature list is impressive for the segment, and includes a 10.25-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a digital driver's display, dual wireless charging pads, rear AC vents, a cooled glovebox, cruise control, and connected car technology.
Safety is addressed through six airbags, ESC, ABS with EBD, a 360-degree camera, and ISOFIX child seat anchor points.
CNG Gets Paddle Shifters, EV Gets Two Battery Options
The Tiago iCNG Introduces a Segment-First Feature
The Tiago iCNG, priced from Rs 5.79 lakh, is built on the X-ALFA architecture and features a twin-cylinder CNG setup that frees up a meaningful portion of boot space.
Mechanically, it carries the same 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol motor producing 74bhp and 96.5Nm, paired with a five-speed manual or AMT. The CNG AMT variant now comes with paddle shifters, a segment-first feature, along with direct CNG start functionality.
Tiago EV Continues With Two Battery Packs, Now Available Under BaaS Scheme
The 2026 Tiago EV is offered via outright purchase from Rs 6.99 lakh, or from Rs 4.69 lakh under the Battery as a Service (BaaS) scheme. It continues to be available with 19.2kWh and 24kWh battery packs, in MR and LR guises respectively.
The updated electric hatchback receives new LED headlamps, a blanked-off grille, revised bumpers, and fresh alloy wheels on the outside.
Inside, a new freestanding coloured instrument console, a larger floating touchscreen, a reworked centre console, rear AC vents, and a rotary dial in place of the outgoing gear lever bring the cabin thoroughly up to date.
With the entire Tiago range refreshed in one sweep, Tata Motors has made a strong statement about its commitment to the entry-level hatchback space, a segment many believed was fading. The 2026 Tiago, in all its forms, suggests there is still plenty of life left in the humble hatch.
