The 2026 Tata Tiago EV facelift gets a thoroughly redesigned cabin with dual free-standing screens, fabric upholstery, and rear AC vents for the first time.
A 360-degree camera has been confirmed, making this one of India's most affordable EVs to offer such a feature.
Tata Motors has revealed the interior of the updated Tiago EV ahead of its official launch on 28 May, and the changes go well beyond cosmetic tweaks.
The popular electric hatchback now comes with a noticeably sharper design language inside and out, and a feature list that will make rivals think twice.
A Cabin That Finally Feels the Part
The facelifted Tiago EV retains its dual-tone black-and-grey theme, but the overall execution looks cleaner, softer, and considerably more premium than the outgoing model.
The dashboard has been given a clean horizontal layout with layered textures, while a fabric-wrapped upper section adds warmth to the cabin. It is the kind of touch you do not usually expect at this price point.
Dual Floating Screens Take Centre Stage
Sitting on top of the dashboard are two free-standing displays, a 10.25-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system and a separate digital instrument cluster.
The familiar two-spoke steering wheel now carries an offset illuminated Tata.ev logo. Importantly, Tata has wisely chosen to retain physical AC controls rather than moving everything to the touchscreen, which means drivers can adjust the climate without navigating through menus.
Rear Passengers Get Proper Attention This Time
Rear seat passengers benefit from the addition of AC vents and charging ports, both of which were missing from the outgoing model.
The floating-style dashboard layout also frees up additional storage space below, with wireless charging trays and ports integrated more neatly into the design.
Fabric Upholstery Replaces Leatherette Across the Range
Unlike the outgoing Tiago EV that offered leatherette seats in higher variants, the facelift now uses lighter dual-tone fabric seats throughout the cabin.
While some buyers may miss the leatherette finish, the new fabric setup makes the cabin feel airier and is arguably better suited to Indian summers.
Exterior Updates Give the Tiago EV a Modern Edge
At the front, the facelifted Tiago EV gets a body-coloured closed-off grille, slimmer LED headlamps with eyebrow-shaped DRLs, and a redesigned bumper with vertical styling elements and angular inserts near the edges.
On the sides, newly designed alloy wheels, gloss-black ORVMs, black wheel arch surrounds, and Tata.ev door branding keep things looking fresh.
At the rear, redesigned LED tail lamps with vertical light elements are connected by a thick gloss-black strip stretching across the tailgate, giving the hatchback a wider and cleaner visual effect.
360-Degree Camera Confirmed Alongside a Generous Feature List
The biggest talking point is that the facelift will be equipped with a 360-degree camera, making it one of the most affordable EVs in India to offer such a feature.
The confirmed features list also includes wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless phone charging, automatic climate control, cruise control, automatic headlamps and wipers, TPMS, push-button start, and auto-folding ORVMs.
On the safety front, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, hill hold assist, and ISOFIX mounts are expected to carry over.
Battery and Powertrain Options Expected to Continue
Tata is yet to confirm whether the facelifted Tiago EV will receive any mechanical updates, but the existing battery options are expected to continue.
The 19.2 kWh pack produces 61 PS and 110 Nm with a claimed range of 223 km, while the larger 24 kWh unit delivers 75 PS and 114 Nm with 293 km of range.
Both battery options support DC fast charging from 10 to 80 per cent in 58 minutes.
What to Expect at Launch
The facelifted Tiago EV will continue competing against the MG Comet EV and the Citroen eC3, and is confirmed to be launched on 28 May alongside its ICE sibling, the 2026 Tata Tiago.
With a 360-degree camera, dual floating screens, rear AC vents, and a far more mature interior, the updated Tiago EV looks like a genuinely compelling package for buyers searching for an affordable, practical, and well-equipped city EV.
