Noida has now evolved into a modern, integrated, and well-planned industrial city adjacent to Delhi, the capital of India, with a network of roads, national highways, and a modern DND flyover, providing connectivity to all regions of the country.
Traffic accidents, congestion, and violations have long been one of the main concerns of this city. Noida has registered several cases of traffic accidents. Of all the deaths, most have been recorded on freeways. The UP government had increased penalties for traffic violations, such as riding a four-wheeler without a seatbelt and riding a two-wheeler without a helmet.
Different challans that are issued are for driving without a valid license, driving without wearing a seat belt, driving without valid motor insurance, overloading two-wheelers, and driving without vehicle registration.
An e-Challan is an electronically issued receipt for an offender's traffic violation and the fine to be paid. The e-challan scheme, enacted in 2019, helps enforce strict rules against traffic violators and maintains transparency in Noida's traffic challan payments. E-Challan is automatically updated on the traffic police portal and entered in real-time after generation, which makes it difficult for offenders to avoid fines.
To check challan status online in Noida, all you have to do is fill in the details on the Parivahan website and follow these steps:
