New 3-row SUV
The upcoming new cars also include a 7-seater premium SUV. Although Maruti Suzuki has not yet revealed its launch date, some industry reports suggest that it will be launched in the second half of 2024. This new model will be inspired by the Grand Vitara SUV. Its platform, features and powertrain are also expected to be similar to the existing SUV. The new 7-seater SUV will be available with a choice of a 1.5L K15C and a 1.5L Atkinson cycle strong hybrid powertrain. This SUV will be produced from a new plant in Kharkhoda.

Maruti EVX Electric SUV
Maruti is testing its first electric car for the Indian market. This electric SUV is inspired by the eVX concept, the prototype of which was presented at the 2023 Auto Expo. Based on the new skateboard platform, the length of this electric SUV is estimated to be around 4.3 meters. It can be launched during the festive season in 2024. Maruti Suzuki will produce it from its plant in Gujarat. Due to its localized production, it can be offered at an aggressive price point.

New Generation Swift and Dezire
Apart from its SUV lineup, Maruti Suzuki is also going to introduce the new generation Swift hatchback and Dezire sub-compact sedan. These will be launched in the market in February and April 2024 respectively. Both vehicles are expected to get the company's latest 1.2L, 3-cylinder Z12E petrol engine with CVT gearbox. It is also expected to have the option of a hybrid powertrain. It is also expected to get much higher mileage than the current model.
