Tata Nexon Pure+ PS Variant Leaked: Panoramic Sunroof and Cruise Control Under Rs 10 Lakh

Tata Motors is quietly preparing to launch the Nexon Pure+ PS, a new variant of its bestselling sub-4-metre SUV that promises to bring a panoramic sunroof and cruise control to a significantly lower price point. Leaked interior images have confirmed these additions ahead of the official launch, signalling a deliberate move by Tata to place premium features within reach of a much wider pool of buyers.

  • The Tata Nexon Pure+ PS is poised to become India's first sub-Rs 10 lakh car to offer a panoramic sunroof, with leaked images confirming its imminent arrival.

  • Cruise control, previously exclusive to the Creative trim and above, is confirmed to feature in this more accessible Pure+ variant.

Tata Motors has a well-earned reputation for quietly raising the bar, and it appears to be at it again. Ahead of any official word, a Pure+ PS unit was spotted in person and shared on social media, giving the clearest indication yet of what to expect from this upcoming variant.

The images confirm the presence of a large panoramic sunroof, cruise control toggles on the steering wheel, and rear AC vents. Both the sunroof and cruise control are features that buyers have long associated with significantly pricier trims, making their arrival this far down the ladder quite noteworthy.

Pricing and Positioning in the Nexon Lineup

The Nexon currently spans ten trims, ranging from Smart at the entry level all the way up to Fearless+ A PS at the top.

The Pure+ PS is expected to slot in between the Pure+ S and the Creative trim, though it remains unconfirmed whether it will replace the Pure+ S entirely.

The Pure+ S is currently priced at Rs 9.23 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Creative sits at Rs 9.99 lakh. Speculation points to the Pure+ PS carrying a price of approximately Rs 9.49 lakh, which would make it the segment's first sub-Rs 10 lakh offering with a panoramic sunroof. Official pricing has not been announced by Tata Motors as yet.

A Feature Once Far Out of Reach

To appreciate how significant this is, some context helps. When Tata first introduced the panoramic sunroof on the Nexon in October 2024, panoramic sunroof-equipped variants started from Rs 13.60 lakh.

A subsequent GST revision brought that figure down, with the Creative+ PS currently serving as the entry point for the panoramic unit at Rs 11.32 lakh.

The Pure+ PS would lower that barrier considerably. It is also worth noting that the production-ready variant has reportedly been ready since September 2025, with the launch simply taking time to materialise.

The Broader Nexon Package

The Pure+ persona already comes with a generous set of features, including a 10.25-inch infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 4-inch multi-information display, an HD rear-view camera, auto-fold powered ORVMs, a height-adjustable driver's seat, a front armrest, auto headlights, and rain-sensing wipers.

The Pure+ PS is expected to carry the same powertrain options as the Pure+ S, covering Turbo Petrol 6MT, Turbo Petrol 6AMT, Turbo Diesel 6MT, and CNG 6MT, with a Turbo Diesel 6AMT possibly in the mix as well.

Safety and Segment Standing

Safety has always been a strong suit of the Nexon. The SUV is equipped with six airbags, electronic stability control, three-point seat belts across all seats, and ISOFIX child seat mounts. It holds a full five-star rating in Bharat NCAP crash tests.

Originally launched in 2017, the Nexon on sale today is the second facelift of the first-generation model, introduced in 2023 with sweeping design and feature upgrades. Its ex-showroom price range currently runs from Rs 7.37 lakh to Rs 15.95 lakh, and it continues to be one of India's most consistently strong performers in the sub-4-metre SUV space.
