MG Comet EV Dearer by up to Rs.19,000

MG Motor India has hiked the Comet EV prices with the maximum hike at ₹19,000 on its top variants. The price of the executive variant remains the same, whereas the two more expensive variants carrying fast chargers—the 100 Years Edition and Exclusive—are most benefited. The starting price of the Excite variant is now hiked by ₹17,000. With a 17.3kWh battery delivering a competitive range of 230km, the Comet EV remains the attraction in the list of affordable electric vehicles.

MG Motor India has revised the prices of a couple of models from its product portfolio. In our earlier report, we brought you the updated price of the Windsor EV, and in this article, we will take you through the revised prices for the Comet EV.

The MG Comet EV is available in four trims of Executive, Excite, Exclusive, and 100-year editions. Of these four variants, the cost of the most affordable trim named Executiv has risen at no cost. The top trims are the 100-year edition and the Exclusive variant combined with a fast charger, which has seen an increase in price to the tune of Rs. 19,000.

The price for the Exclusive variant of the Comet was increased by Rs. 14,000 without a fast charger, while buyers for the Excite variant now would have to pay an additional Rs. 12,000 standard specs or Rs. 17,000 with a fast charger variant.

The price of the MG Comet has been set between Rs. 7 lakh to Rs. 9.84 lakh (all prices are ex-showroom). The two-door electric vehicle is powered by a 17.3kWh battery pack supported by a single electric motor that claims a range of 230km on one full charge.
