Maruti Eeco: A Comprehensive Guide To Its Features And Specifications

Embark on a journey through the Maruti Eeco with our comprehensive guide, unveiling its standout features and specifications. From its spacious interior to efficient performance, delve into the details that define the Eeco. Whether you're seeking a family-friendly vehicle or a versatile workhorse, this guide equips you with the insights needed to make an informed decision. Discover why the Maruti Eeco stands out in its segment, blending practicality with reliability in a way that caters to a diverse range of automotive needs.

 Maruti Suzuki Eeco

If there is any bottom spectrum of the multipurpose van segment of cars in India, then the Maruti Eeco definitely owns that position. Partly because Eeco has literally zero competition and partly because Maruti Eeco features & specifications serve its purpose very well. Big, spacious, and multipurpose in true essence, this Indian MPV is the epitome of a value-for-money vehicle.

Going by the Maruti Eeco specifications, it can easily transport a family of 7 from point A to B with decent comfort and even suffice your business logistic needs. So how does the Eeco fare so well in its purpose? Which customer segment does it target? And do the Maruti Suzuki Eeco features match the standards of an MPV? Read this comprehensive guide to the Maruti Eeco features & specifications to know it all.

A Comprehensive Review of Maruti Eeco Features & Specifications

If the OG kidnapping van of India, the Omni has a deserving successor then it is the Maruti Suzuki Eeco. The Eeco was launched way back in 2019 to replace the Omni and the Versa all at once. Initially, the Eeco was available in three prominent variants - a 5-seater standard, a 5-seater AC, and a 7-seater standard.

Not much has changed through the years since a facelifted variant of the Eeco was launched in 2022. However, the latest Eeco features specifications included a CNG option in the 5-seater variant. The Eeco specifications definitely pack the utilitarian design elements of the Omni and the spacious interiors of the Versa. And the base model starting at just 5.25L (ex-showroom) in New Delhi, the Eeco with all its features and specifications, indeed fares well in the market.

Maruti Eeco Specifications

In 2023, the Maruti Eeco is available in 13 variants. Save its Tour V, Cargo, and Ambulance variants (which attract the commercial consumer segment), the Eeco is available in 5 or 7-seater standard variants although the 7-seater (standard or Tour V) lacks any air conditioning.

Pondering upon the latest Eeco specifications, the VFM vehicle is powered by a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine. In addition, the Eeco is also available in a CNG option although, you cannot get a CNG Eeco if you opt for the 7-seater variant since the third-row seats are replaced to accommodate the CNG tank.

Power & Performance

The normal gasoline-powered Maruti Eeco is able to churn out a peak power of 81 bhp at 6000 rpm while its CNG sibling makes about 72 bhp at 6000 rpm. While this is more than decent for an MPV of its stature (considering the VFM philosophy), at times, the Eeco feels out of breath when loaded to maximum capacity.

The petrol-powered Eeco churns out 104 NM of torque at 3000 rpm while the CNG Eeco makes about 95 NM of torque at the same power band. Both the petrol and CNG Eeco are mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. Going the Maruti Suzuki Eeco specifications, the petrol variant offers a claimed average of 19 km/l while its CNG counterpart delivers about 23 km/l.

Maruti Eeco Features

Given the Eeco car features, it is overwhelming that the average age of customers purchasing the Maruti Suzuki Eeco went down from 39 years to 36.1 years with the launch of the facelifted variant a year back. With younger customers getting attracted to the Eeco features, Maruti seemingly has plans to launch an edgier Eeco sometime in the future.

Going by the Eeco car features from the perspective of seating and comfort, it gets decently comfortable three-row seats (in the 7-seater variant) with just an apt amount of padding and integrated headrests. While this provides decent seating comfort, only the driver seat can slide back & forth.

The Eeco does not even get a power-steering but on the brighter side, it has got the biggest middle-row window which can be rolled down unlike its predecessor, the Omni. On the technology front, the Eeco features a digital-analogue instrument console although there is no tachometer or the presence of even a stock music system.

Eeco Car Features - On The Outside

The Eeco car features include standard halogen headlamps and tail lamps on the outside. The lack of alloy wheels is clearly noticeable although you get tubeless tyres. Maruti provides slots for fog lamps although you have to retrofit them from the aftermarkets.

Conclusion

Indeed, the Maruti Eeco has nothing overwhelming about it. It still manages to appeal to its target customer base with utilitarian Eeco features and specifications. If you are looking for a budget family car for daily use and occasional family trips, then the Maruti Suzuki Eeco is just made for it.

Since the Eeco is a big car, parking requires some hunting.
