Check Maruti Suzuki Eeco Price, Features, and Reviews

The New Maruti Suzuki Eeco is a versatile and spacious MPV that caters to your family's needs. With its practical design and ample space, it offers comfortable seating for everyone. Inside, the cabin provides a simple and functional environment with essential features for a comfortable ride. The Eeco is equipped with a reliable engine and efficient performance, making it perfect for daily commutes and family outings. If you're looking for a budget-friendly and practical MPV, the New Maruti Suzuki Eeco is an excellent choice.

If you're on the hunt for a reliable family hauler within a reasonable budget, Maruti Suzuki Eeco is a car worth checking out. From a generous luggage space to decent mileage, this four-wheeler has a lot to offer.
First unveiled in January 2010, the Maruti Suzuki Eeco has been in the Indian market for over a decade now. Earlier, it was known as Maruti Suzuki Versa, until the manufacturer reintroduced it as Eeco. The van has indeed come a long way since then, with upgraded versions and new variants launched over the years. As of now, there are seven different Maruti Suzuki Eeco variants in the market:
- Maruti Eeco 5-seater standard
- Maruti Eeco 5-seater AC
- Maruti Eeco 5-seater AC CNG
- Maruti Eeco 7-seater standard
- Maruti Eeco Cargo
- Maruti Eeco Cargo CNG
- Maruti Eeco Cargo AC CNG
Besides these, Maruti Suzuki also launched a couple of ambulance variants, compliant with the National Ambulance Code.
Thanks to the upgraded powertrain, Maruti Suzuki Eeco 2022 boasts a 25% increase in fuel efficiency over the previous generation of engines. Other notable upgrades include a new instrument cluster, including a digital speedometer.
The affordable price point is one of the best things about Maruti Suzuki Eeco. Starting from INR 5.24 Lakh and going up to INR 6.71 Lakh, it is currently the cheapest minivan in India. Of course, the price would vary depending on the variant you go for. Let's have a look at the Ex-showroom prices for the available variants.
As we mentioned earlier, Maruti Suzuki Eeco features a design very familiar to us. It's the unmistakable look of a typical Maruti Suzuki minivan, complete with sliding doors for the rear cabin. Though not quite unique or innovative, the design has proved convenient over the decades.
- The boxy shape of the car ensures maximum space utilization, ensuring ample cabin space and cargo capacity.
- The car features black bumpers both to the front and the back. All variants of Maruti Suzuki Eeco come with steel wheels and centre cap mud flaps.
- The clear lens reflector headlamps look simple, yet stylish.
Once again, the Maruti has prioritized functionality over style in this Minivan. The interior is almost entirely made of hard plastic. This, by the way, makes Eeco the only remaining Maruti Suzuki vehicle still in production to have hard plastic-filled interiors.
- Cabin space is remarkable, thanks to the car's expansive design. The seats are contourless and come with headrests integrated into them, which further adds to the space efficiency.
- As for the upholstery, it's made of artificial leather and features the iconic beige and grey combination one would find in most Maruti cars.
- The reclining front seats should add to your comfort, and the 5-seater models offer excellent headroom and legroom.
- Although the 7-seater variants are a little more congested, the cabin space should still suffice. Rest assured that a family outing in a Maruti Suzuki Eeco will be a comfortable journey.
- Air conditioning is optional, depending on the variant you purchase. Considering India's climate, of course, it would be logical to get an air-conditioned variant of the car. The air conditioning system also includes a heater, which should have you covered in winter.
- Until a couple of years ago, Maruti Suzuki Eeco had a rather mundane dashboard. This changed with the launch of Eeco 2022, which features a digital instrument cluster. The car now also boasts rotary controls for its air conditioning and heating systems.
- Another factor that makes Eeco a great family car is its 540L boot space, which should be enough for about four suitcases. Of course, you'll have more space for luggage with the 5-seater variants than one of the 7-seaters.
Now comes the most important aspect of a family car - safety. Maruti Suzuki Eeco ticks all boxes in this regard, with sufficient safety features.
- Besides basic safety features like ABS and dual airbags, the car also comes with a child lock mechanism for its sliding doors and windows. Other modern car safety features include an engine immobilizer, a hazard switch, EBD and reverse parking assistance.
- The manufacturer has also added seatbelt reminders for the driver and co-driver seats - another safety feature that's getting popular in recent times.
For a minivan that might appear too simple, Maruti Suzuki Eeco performs surprisingly well. This can be credited largely to the upgraded engine that the car received in 2022. Maruti Suzuki briefly stopped the production of this car in July, reintroducing an upgraded version in November.
The new Maruti Suzuki Eeco boasts a K12N 1.2L, 1197 cc, four-cylinder engine that substantially enhances its torque and power. Here's a quick overview for you.
Fuel efficiency is one of the aspects where Maruti Suzuki Eeco particularly stands out. It has always been one of its key selling points, and the 2022 upgrade further improved the car's fuel economy by 25%.
As per ARAI ratings, the car can travel 26.78 km per Kg of CNG or 19.71 km per litre of petrol. The CNG variants of Maruti Eeco are far more fuel-efficient.
