Maruti Suzuki has opened bookings for the facelifted Brezza ahead of its July 23, 2026 reveal
Leaked documents point to simplified variant names, a new turbo engine and a wide accessories range
Maruti Suzuki has thrown open bookings for the updated Brezza, setting the stage for what looks to be the biggest overhaul this sub-compact SUV has received since its current generation arrived in 2022.
The company has confirmed that the model will be officially revealed on July 23, 2026, and interested buyers can already reserve their unit. While Maruti has kept most specifics under wraps, a combination of official teasers and a leaked accessories document has given a fairly clear picture of what to expect.
Variant Naming Gets A Fresh Structure
One of the more notable shifts concerns how the Brezza will be sold. Reports suggest the familiar LXi, VXi and ZXi badges are being retired in favour of a simpler naming pattern built around six variants. This kind of nomenclature overhaul is unusual for a car this far into its life cycle, and it hints at a broader repositioning exercise rather than a routine mid-life freshening.
Two Engine Options On The Cards
Powertrain choice appears to be where the bulk of the changes lie. The Brezza has traditionally relied on a single 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, which has kept it above the tax threshold that applies to smaller-engined sub-four metre vehicles.
The update is expected to introduce a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol unit, the same one already doing service in the Fronx, producing around 100bhp and 147Nm. This engine is likely to be offered with a five-speed manual gearbox or a six-speed automatic with paddle shifters, and its smaller displacement should help certain variants slot into a friendlier tax bracket.
The existing 1.5-litre engine is tipped to continue alongside it for buyers who prefer a naturally aspirated option, and an underbody CNG tank, a layout already seen on the Victoris, is also expected to join the range.
Styling Tweaks And Wheel Designs
Visually, the Brezza is not expected to change dramatically. The alloy wheels get the most obvious update, moving to a fresh diamond cut pattern with a petal like arrangement, with top trims likely to retain 16-inch sizing.
Buyers may also get a choice between painted and machined wheel finishes depending on the variant or accessory pack selected.
A Large Accessories Catalogue
Perhaps the most surprising detail to emerge is the scale of the accessories range being prepared. It reportedly spans body side mouldings, front, rear and side skid plates, spoiler extensions, smoke chrome window and door visor inserts, illuminated sill guards with ambient lighting, and a long list of body graphics and garnishes across multiple colour themes.
Inside, buyers can expect a wood finish styling kit along with several seat upholstery designs across the lower variants.
Added Features And Booking Details
On the equipment front, the top-spec Brezza is likely to gain a powered and ventilated driver seat as part of the update. Bookings can currently be made ahead of the July 23 unveiling, where Maruti Suzuki is expected to confirm full pricing, specifications and the complete variant walkthrough.
