Mahindra Scorpio N Z8 L Waiting Period Decreases by 5 Months as Production Ramps Up

Mahindra has recently made waves in the automotive industry with its announcement of increased production and deliveries, leading to a notable reduction in order backlog. This positive development comes as welcome news for customers eagerly awaiting their Mahindra Scorpio Classic and Scorpio N SUVs, which collectively boast over 1 lakh open bookings as of January 2024.

Improved Waiting Period

The latest update reveals a significant decrease in the waiting period for the Mahindra Scorpio N Z8 L variants. As illustrated in the table below, the waiting time has decreased across all variants, with the maximum waiting period now ranging from two to six months, compared to the six to eight months observed in November 2023. Particularly noteworthy is the remarkable drop in waiting time for top-spec variants, now averaging just two to three months, down from a maximum of eight months previously.

Features and Pricing

The Mahindra Scorpio N offers a choice of two engines, a 203hp, 2.0-litre turbo-petrol, and a 175hp, 2.2-litre turbo-diesel engine, paired with either a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission. Prices for the Scorpio N range from Rs 13.60 lakh to Rs 24.54 lakh, ex-showroom, catering to a diverse range of preferences and budgets.

Scorpio Classic Waiting Period

In comparison, the waiting period for the Mahindra Scorpio Classic remains relatively stable, with up to three months for the base variant and up to five months for the top-spec S11 variant. Powered by a 2.2-liter diesel engine, the Scorpio Classic offers robust performance with a 6-speed manual gearbox.

Market Reception

Mahindra's recent earnings call highlighted the enduring popularity of the Scorpio Classic and Scorpio N models, with a combined average of 16,000 bookings per month. This overwhelming demand underscores the vehicles' appeal to discerning customers seeking reliability, performance, and style in their SUVs.

In conclusion, Mahindra's efforts to ramp up production and streamline deliveries have resulted in tangible benefits for customers, with reduced waiting times for the Scorpio N Z8 L variants. As the company continues to prioritize customer satisfaction and efficiency, prospective buyers can look forward to a smoother and more expedited purchase experience, solidifying Mahindra's position as a trusted name in the SUV segment.
