Mercedes-Benz is updating its flagship ICE sedan with an electrified twist. Marking the arrival of the first-ever plug-in hybrid S-Class in India, the S 450e. The vehicle pairs a 3.0-litre turbo-petrol inline-six engine with an electric motor.
Powered by a 22kWh battery, it pumps out a massive 435hp and 680Nm of torque and a claimed 0-100kph time of 5.7 seconds.
Visually, it features a 20% larger grille adorned with tiny chrome stars and sleek tristar LED lights. Inside, the massive MBUX Superscreen setup transforms it into a highly advanced, software-defined vehicle with over-the-air updates.
BMW X6 M60i

BMW is set to reintroduce the X6 M60i to India, bringing a strong blend of luxury, performance, and sporty design. The coupe-SUV is powered by a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 mild-hybrid petrol engine that produces 523 hp and 750 Nm of torque.
Paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel-drive system, the X6 M60i can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds, while the limited top speed is 250 kph.
The SUV also stands out with its bold styling, featuring sleek LED daytime running lights, a gloss-black kidney grille, and 21-inch alloy wheels. Inside, the cabin is equipped with BMW’s latest curved dual-screen display and a premium, technology-focused interior.
Honda ZR-V

After a preview showcase in May, Honda is expected to announce pricing for the ZR-V. It relies on a highly efficient 2.0-litre strong-hybrid petrol engine producing 184 hp and 315 Nm of torque mated to an e-CVT.
While it misses out on ventilated seats and a sunroof, it comes packed with premium amenities, including a 12-speaker Bose sound system, 8 airbags, a 360-degree camera, and Level-2 ADAS protection.
Skoda Kodiaq RS

Skoda is set to introduce the Kodiaq RS in India, bringing its performance-focused RS badge to the flagship SUV lineup. The model will arrive as a completely built-up unit (CBU) with a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, offering significantly higher power and torque outputs than the standard Kodiaq.
The engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and an all-wheel-drive system, ensuring strong performance and enhanced driving dynamics.

Tata Sierra EV

Tata Motors is bringing back the iconic Sierra nameplate in an all-electric form. Positioned below the Harrier EV in the brand’s EV lineup, the upcoming Sierra EV is expected to be offered with both rear-wheel-drive (RWD) and all-wheel-drive (AWD) configurations.
While Tata Motors has not yet revealed the complete battery specifications, the electric SUV is expected to deliver a driving range of over 500 km on a single charge.
Preview images suggest that the Sierra EV will feature a modern design with a closed-off front grille and aerodynamically designed alloy wheels.
New BYD Plug-In Hybrid

BYD India has teased its first plug-in hybrid vehicle (PHEV) for the Indian market, marking the brand’s entry into the hybrid segment. While the company has not confirmed the model yet, the Atto 2 PHEV and Sealion 6 are among the likely options based on BYD’s global lineup.
Both models combine a 1.5-litre petrol engine with an electric motor and battery pack, offering impressive efficiency and a claimed combined driving range of up to 1,092 km, depending on the variant.
