Suzuki Malaysia has launched the Fronx Sport Edition at RM 130,888, positioned above the base variant priced at RM 118,888.
The Sport Edition adds a full body kit, larger 17-inch alloys, and a front and rear 4K dashcam while retaining the same 1.5-litre mild-hybrid powertrain.
Suzuki Malaysia has quietly expanded its Fronx lineup with a new Sport variant, sitting above the standard model and bringing a sharper visual character to the compact SUV.
Launched on June 7, 2026, the Fronx Sport is priced at RM 130,888, which works out to roughly Rs 30.70 lakh. The base Fronx, for context, retails at RM 118,888.
Being a CBU import from Indonesia, the Fronx commands a premium in Malaysia compared to what buyers pay in markets closer to the source.
A Body Kit That Does the Talking
The Sport Edition's main selling point is an extensive body kit that lends the Fronx a considerably more aggressive stance.
Up front, the grille and Suzuki emblem receive a blacked-out treatment, while a lower lip extension on the bumper gives the nose a more planted, purposeful look.
Along the sides, sculpted skirts and prominent 'Fronx Sport' decals reinforce the sporty brief, and the rear rounds things off with a diffuser and a spoiler mounted to the tailgate.
Bigger Wheels and Two Colour Options
Buyers can opt for 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 215/50 R17 Continental UltraContact UC7 tyres, a step up from the 16-inch units and 195/60 R16 rubber on the standard car.
The Sport variant is available in two colour combinations: a monotone Cool Black and a dual-tone Pearl Snow White paired with Cool Black.
Cabin Additions and Standard Features
Step inside, and the most notable addition is a front and rear 4K dashcam. Beyond that, the interior largely mirrors the standard Fronx.
Equipment includes a leather three-spoke steering wheel with paddle shifters, wireless phone charging, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, and a tilt-and-telescopic adjustable steering column.
Safety is well catered for, with six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, hill hold, high beam assist, and ISOFIX anchors all standard. The ADAS suite covers blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, lane change assist, rear cross traffic alert, and vehicle sway warning.
The Same Mild-Hybrid Engine Underneath
Despite the sportier trappings, the Fronx Sport carries over the same K15C 1.5-litre naturally aspirated inline-four engine used across the Malaysian Fronx range. This unit produces 103 PS and 138 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed automatic gearbox driving the front wheels.
An integrated starter generator gives the setup mild-hybrid credentials, assisting with smoother start-stop operation, aiding acceleration, and trimming fuel consumption at the margins.
Structurally, the car uses MacPherson struts up front and a torsion beam at the rear, with ventilated disc brakes at the front and drums at the rear. Gross vehicle weight is rated at 1,480 kg, identical to the standard model.
