Kia Sonet GTX Variant Launched: Prices Begin at Rs. 13.71 Lakh

Kia, the South Korean car brand has finally rejigged the variants of its top-selling SUV duo, the Seltos and the Sonet. It is reported that Seltos gets a new GTX variant while the X-Line variant gets a new Aurora Black Pearl color. According to the sources, the new GTX trim is positioned between HTX+ and GTX+ when it boils down to prices, starting from Rs. 13.71 lakh. Let’s delve into the details:

Exciting New Features in the Sonet GTX

The Sonet GTX is packed with a host of features aimed at enhancing the driving experience and ensuring passenger safety. One of the standout features is the 360-degree surround camera, which includes a blind spot monitor. This feature is particularly useful in city driving and parking, as it provides a comprehensive view of the vehicle, helping the driver avoid obstacles.

Inside the cabin, the Sonet GTX boasts a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. This system is compatible with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, allowing seamless smartphone integration for music, navigation, and communication. Additionally, there's a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster that provides essential driving information in a clear and easy-to-read format.

Comfort is also a key focus in the Sonet GTX. The front seats are ventilated, which is a great feature for hot climates as it helps keep the occupants cool. The driver’s seat is powered, allowing for easy adjustments to find the perfect driving position. An air purifier is included as well, ensuring clean air inside the cabin, which is particularly important in urban environments with high pollution levels.

Other notable features include automatic headlamps that turn on and off based on the lighting conditions outside, front and rear parking sensors to assist with parking in tight spaces, LED fog lamps for improved visibility in adverse weather conditions, and six airbags to ensure maximum safety for all passengers.

A Variety of Color Options

The Sonet GTX offers a wide range of color choices to cater to different tastes. Buyers can choose from seven paint schemes: Sparkling Silver, Pewter Olive, Gravity Grey, Aurora Black Pearl, Intense Red, Imperial Blue, and Glacier White Pearl. The introduction of the Aurora Black Pearl option adds a new dimension to the vehicle’s appearance, giving it a sleek and sophisticated look.

For the X-Line variant, which was previously available only in Matte Graphite, the Aurora Black Pearl color option is now also available. This addition provides buyers with more choices and the ability to personalize their vehicle to their liking.

Powerful Engine Options

Under the hood, the Sonet GTX has two engine options catering to different driving preferences. The first option is a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT). This combination offers a smooth and responsive driving experience, making it ideal for both city commutes and highway drives.

The second option is a 1.5-litre diesel engine mated to a six-speed automatic torque converter. This diesel powertrain is known for its efficiency and torque, providing a robust performance well-suited for long-distance travel and carrying heavier loads.

Overall, With the introduction of the GTX variant, Kia has made the Sonet even more attractive to SUV buyers in India. The new features, combined with the variety of color options and powerful engine choices, make the Sonet GTX a compelling choice in the competitive SUV market. Priced at Rs. 13.71 lakh, it offers a blend of luxury, comfort, and performance that is hard to match. The addition of the new Aurora Black Pearl color option for the X-Line variant further enhances the appeal of the Sonet lineup, giving buyers more flexibility to choose a vehicle that fits their style and needs.
