MG Cars Overview

MG Motor India Private Limited is a British-origin car manufacturer that entered the Indian market in 2019.

  • It is currently owned by the Shanghai-based Chinese state-owned company SAIC Motor. The company quickly gained popularity in India with its first product, the MG Hector mid-size SUV.

  • Known for its value proposition, the Hector became popular among Indian car buyers. Since then, MG Motor has expanded its portfolio and offers six models in India, including one hatchback and five SUVs.
