MG cars currently have a product portfolio of five car models for the Indian market, all of which belong to the SUV category. The brand also plans to introduce a compact electric vehicle in the coming year. MG, commonly known as Morris Garage, is an English automotive brand established in 1920. China-based SAIC Motor Corporation took over the company in 2008. MG cars started its journey in India with the inauguration of its manufacturing facility in Gujarat. However, the company's corporate office is based in Gurugram, Haryana.

The first product of MG cars for the Indian market was the Hector. The car is a midsized SUV based on the SAIC Baojun 530. It was followed by the MG Astor, MG Gloster, and the MG Hector Plus in the later years. MG car price in India starts at ₹10 lakhs and goes all the way up to ₹32 lakhs.
