Force Motors raises Gurkha prices by up to Rs. 35,646, effective immediately across both seating configurations.
The revised range is now priced between Rs. 16.31 lakh and Rs. 17.63 lakh, ex-showroom.
Force Motors has officially revised the prices of the Gurkha SUV, and the change applies without delay. Both the three-door and five-door variants of the Gurkha have been subject to this price revision. It is not the sort of news that prospective buyers will celebrate, but it is, unfortunately, a fairly routine part of life in the Indian car market, particularly for a nameplate that has quietly built a loyal following among off-road enthusiasts.
How Much More Will You Be Paying
The numbers, while not dramatic, are still meaningful. The five-door Gurkha, which is offered exclusively in a seven-seat configuration, has gone up in price by Rs. 35,646. The three-door variant, which seats four, has seen a slightly smaller increase of Rs. 35,552. To put it plainly, neither body style has been spared.
With this revision, the Gurkha range now carries a price tag of between Rs. 16.31 lakh and Rs. 17.63 lakh, all prices being ex-showroom. That positions it as a genuinely affordable option in a segment that continues to see aspirational pricing from mainstream rivals.
What You Get For the Money
It is worth reminding yourself what the Gurkha brings to the table at this price. The SUV is powered by a 2.6-litre diesel engine that produces 132 bhp and 320 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed manual gearbox.
A four-wheel-drive system comes fitted as standard across the range. That is a reassuringly no-nonsense package for anyone who actually intends to take the thing off the tarmac.
Where the Gurkha Currently Stands as a Product
The Gurkha last received a significant update in 2024, when Force Motors introduced the five-door body style and carried out a refresh for the three-door model at the same time.
Since then, the SUV has remained largely unchanged, which is not necessarily a bad thing for a vehicle built around mechanical simplicity and trail-proven dependability.
A rear-wheel-drive variant was also reported to be in development, though its current status remains unclear. Whether that derivative eventually makes it to showrooms, and at what price point, remains to be seen.
A Small Hike, But a Clear Signal
Price revisions of this nature are rarely isolated events. They tend to reflect broader pressures on input costs and supply chains, and Force Motors is no exception to that reality.
For buyers who were already leaning towards the Gurkha, acting sooner rather than later is probably the more sensible approach. The SUV remains one of the most honest off-road propositions in its price bracket, and a hike of roughly Rs. 35,000 does little to change that fundamental appeal.
