2025 Tata Altroz

Tata's premium hatchback Altroz has been in the market for a long time and needs an update. Its facelift version has been tested several times, and we expect it to arrive by the end of May 2025. Volkswagen Golf GTI

Though there is no word from the company on its launch date, Volkswagen is likely to introduce the Golf GTI towards the end of May. It will be available as a fully built-up unit, and unofficial bookings have already started in major cities. The global-spec Golf GTI comes with a 2-litre turbo-petrol engine that churns out 265 PS and 370 Nm, along with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT). Top trimmings include a 12.9-inch infotainment screen, a 10.25-inch digital driver's display, wireless charging for phones, a heads-up display, and a six-speaker audio system. Volkswagen Golf GTI prices will begin from approximately Rs 52 lakh (ex-showroom).
Skoda Octavia RS

Skoda will likely introduce the Octavia RS in India by end-June 2025. When it debuts, it will be with a 2-litre turbo-petrol engine that pumps out 265 PS and 370 Nm, which gets the car to 100 kmph from 0 in just 6.4 seconds. In addition to the standard car, the Octavia RS also receives styling treatments on the inside and outside to give it a sportier look. Top trims have, a 13-inch touchscreen, dual-zone AC, a 10-inch digital driver's display, and electrically adjustable front-row seats. Also, the Octavia RS has dynamic chassis control with a limited-slip differential that provides maximum traction and stability through corners. The Octavia RS prices will likely begin at Rs 45 lakh (ex-showroom).
MG Cyberster
We anticipate MG to bring its electric roadster, the Cyberster, to market by the end of June 2025. Cyberster prices are expected to begin from about Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom). It features a 77 kWh battery pack mated to a 510 PS/ 725 Nm electric motor combination, which can reach 0 to 100 kmph in 3.2 seconds. Cyberster has a WLTP-claimed range of 443 km. MG will sell Cyberster through its Select dealerships, and orders have already begun.
MG M9

MG is also likely to bring the M9 electric MPV to India by June 2025. It will be retailed alongside the Cyberster via the brand's 'Select' outlets. We had recently confirmed that the M9 will come to India as a CKD (completely knocked down) unit, and its price will be competitive. Internationally, the M9 is available with a 90 kWh battery pack coupled with a 244 PS / 350 Nm electric motor combination, providing a claimed 430 km range.
Top spec includes 3-zone AC, a 12-speaker sound system, and powered front and rear row seats with ventilation and massage features. MG M9 prices are expected to fall between Rs 60 lakh and Rs 70 lakh (ex-showroom).
Lamborghini Temerario

Lamborghini is set to introduce the Temerario in India on April 30, 2025. It will be positioned below the Revuelto and will replace the Huracan. The Temerario comes with a 4-litre turbocharged V8 petrol engine coupled with three electric motors producing a combined output of 920 PS and 800 Nm. It can go from 0 to 100 kmph in merely 2.7 seconds and has a top speed of 340 kmph. Feature points include a 12.3-inch digital driver's display, an 8.4-inch infotainment system, a 9.1-inch passenger entertainment screen, and an 18-way electrically adjustable driver's seat with heating and ventilation. Temerario prices should begin at Rs 6 crore (ex-showroom).
