In a recent update, Volkswagen has made its Deep Black Pearl exterior shade more accessible, extending the option to the Topline variants of both the Taigun and Virtus models. Initially introduced with the GT Line variants in June 2023, this sleek and stylish color choice is now available for the 1-litre versions of these vehicles. However, it is important to note that this feature is exclusive to the Topline variants, which come with additional features.
For those eyeing the Deep Black Pearl variant, the cost varies. Customers opting for the Virtus in this shade will need to allocate an extra Rs 32,000, while the Taigun in Deep Black Pearl demands an additional Rs 25,000. Notably, the 1-litre Deep Black Pearl variants of both models are priced up to Rs 2.2 lakh lower than their 1.5-litre counterparts.
Feature Highlights
The Topline trims of both the Virtus and Taigun offer an array of amenities, including a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an 8-inch digital driver’s display, a single-pane sunroof, powered front seats, cruise control, and illuminated footwell. Safety features include 6 airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), a rearview camera, and 3-point seatbelts for all passengers.
Powertrain Details:
Both models are equipped with a 1-litre turbo-petrol engine generating 115 PS and 178 Nm, paired with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed torque converter. Additionally, the GT variants offer a more potent 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine (150 PS / 250 Nm) with options for a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
