Maruti e-Vitara Launched: Prices Start at ₹10.99 Lakh, Bookings at ₹21,000, and Deliveries Begin in March 2026

As Maruti Suzuki enters the expanding Indian electric SUV market, the recently released Maruti e-Vitara represents a turning point for the company. Designed with mass-market appeal in mind, the e-Vitara offers an easy booking process, a well-defined delivery schedule, and an attractive launch pricing through the Battery-as-a-Service model. The e-Vitara strives to rank among the most affordable EVs in India with its contemporary features, various range combinations, and emphasis on affordability.

  • The pricing structure, booking procedure, delivery timeline, and launch information of Maruti's new electric SUV.

  • The battery subscription concept, anticipated features, and general market positioning are explained.

Maruti Suzuki's first significant electric SUV for the Indian market, the eagerly awaited e-Vitara, has been formally unveiled. One of the most economical ways to get into EV ownership is with the e-Vitara, which has an introductory pricing of ₹10.99 lakh (ex-showroom) under the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model. The cost pertains to the vehicle-only version; after announcements for each variant, dealerships will soon reveal the battery-inclusive rates.

The brand's strategic move into EVs is marked by this launch, which aims to attract both first-time EV purchasers and families searching for an affordable, useful electric SUV.

Timeline for Booking and Delivery

The e-Vitara is now available for reservations nationally at NEXA showrooms and online, with a nominal fee of Rs. 21,000 needed to reserve a car. Units are already beginning to arrive at a few dealers, and deliveries are anticipated to start soon.

BaaS and Full Ownership Pricing

BaaS (Battery-As-A-Service) Model

Excluding the cost of the battery itself, Maruti Suzuki has announced an introductory pricing of Rs. 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Delta 49 kWh model under the BaaS plan.

Initial ownership is more economical with the BaaS structure since users pay a battery usage cost (about Rs. 3.99 per kilometer) rather than purchasing the battery up front.

Variants and Prices for Complete Ownership

There are three different versions of the 2026 e-Vitara: Delta, Zeta, and Alpha.

The base 49 kWh Delta battery costs about Rs. 15.99 lakh, while the top-spec 61 kWh Alpha variant costs Rs. 19.79 lakh. These are the full ex-showroom rates for individuals who would rather purchase the battery entirely.

The Zeta, which is priced at Rs. 17.49 lakh and Alpha trims are also available for the larger battery versions; the Alpha comes with a dual-tone bodywork at a little higher price of Rs. 20.01 lakh.

Variant Colours and Performance

The Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara is available in ten colours, including six muted hues and four different colour schemes, each with a roof that is bluish black:

Single tone colours

  • Opulent Red

  • Bluish Black

  • Arctic White

  • Grandeur Grey

  • Splendid Silver

  • Nexa Blue

Dual-tone colours

  • Land Breeze Green + Bluish Black

  • Splendid Silver + Bluish Black

  • Opulent Red + Bluish Black

  • Arctic White + Bluish Black

These finishes appeal to a broad spectrum of aesthetic tastes and offer e-Vitara a modern and fresh look.

The e-Vitara from Maruti Suzuki comes with two different battery capacities: a 49 kWh pack that can go up to 440 km on a single charge and a 61 kWh pack that can go up to 543 km. A front-mounted electric motor powers both.

Features and Advantages of Ownership

The e-Vitara has several airbags, Level 2 ADAS, and sophisticated connectivity features, among other contemporary creature comforts and safety technology. Under promotional initiatives that run through March 31, 2026, Maruti Suzuki is also giving early customers freebies like a home AC charger with free installation and a year of free charging at specific places.
