On January 17, Tata Motors revealed the much-anticipated Punch EV, an affordable and compact SUV, with a starting price of Rs 10.99 lakh. Battery Options
There are two battery pack options for the Tata Punch EV: a 25 kWh version with a 315 km claimed range (MIDC) and a 35 kWh Long Range (LR) version with a 421 km MIDC. Also, Tata Motors is providing customers with two choices for charging their Punch EV: a 3.3 kW wall box charger and a 7.2 kW fast home charger that is only available for the LR variant. The motor and battery packs are water and dust-resistant, with an IP67 rating. An 8-year or 160,000-kilometer warranty will be provided by the company.
Exterior
The LED light bar that covers the width of the bonnet and looks like after the Nexon is one of the most striking features of the redesigned front fascia, along with the updated grille and bumper.
The EV will feature 6-inch alloy wheels with diamond cuts and disc brakes on each wheel. In addition, the Punch EV will be the first Tata electric vehicle to feature a charger located directly beneath the logo of the company on the front. Its boot space will be 360 L. Beneath the engine is a 14-liter front trunk or frunk.
Interior
With a new 10.25-inch infotainment system and touch-sensitive AC controls modeled after the Nexon EV, the car's interior has been partially revealed. Additional features include ventilated seats, Auto, and Apple car play for the infotainment system, a sunroof, and a wireless charger.
Safety Features
Six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, tire monitoring system (TPMS), ISOFIX child seat anchors, 360-degree camera, and blind spot monitor all help ensure passenger safety. Also, the company claimed to have strengthened steel designed to increase safety.
