The price revision is limited to the diesel variants of the Tata Harrier, with the entry-level Smart diesel MT being the only trim left untouched.
The hike ranges from Rs 1,100 to Rs 21,500 depending on the variant, pushing the diesel range to a new price band of Rs 14 lakh to Rs 25.35 lakh (ex-showroom).
If you have been keeping an eye on the Tata Harrier and were holding off on pulling the trigger, this might be the nudge, or the wake-up call, you needed.
Tata Motors had already signalled last month that a price revision was coming across its model range, effective April 2026, and the updated figures are now out. The Harrier, one of the brand's most popular SUVs, has not been spared.
Diesel Variants Bear the Brunt of the Revision
The price increase applies exclusively to the Harrier's diesel variants, with the quantum of the hike varying by trim. Depending on which version you are considering, the revision sits anywhere between Rs 1,100 and Rs 21,500. As a result, the diesel range now spans from Rs 14 lakh to Rs 25.35 lakh (all prices ex-showroom).
Worth noting, however, is that the entry-level Smart diesel manual transmission variant has been left untouched, continuing at its existing price of Rs 14 lakh. So if you are budget-conscious and the base spec suits your needs, there is no change to worry about.
Petrol and EV Prices Remain Unchanged
For those who had their sights set on the petrol version, there is some relief. Tata Motors has made no changes to the petrol variant pricing, which continues to start at Rs 12.89 lakh and goes up to Rs 24.06 lakh (ex-showroom).
Similarly, the company has left the prices of its electric vehicle lineup untouched as part of this revision.
What This Means for Prospective Buyers
The Harrier has long been a strong performer in India's highly competitive mid-size SUV segment, and the price hike, while notable at the top end of the range, does not dramatically alter the car's overall value proposition. That said, buyers who had been comparing the diesel Harrier against rivals would do well to factor in the revised figures before making a final decision.
Anyone who had already been planning to book one sooner rather than later now has a fairly clear reason to act without further delay.
