Prior to its launch on January 26, 2026, the all-new Renault Duster has been spotted in near-production condition, showing important stylistic and design cues.
In the cutthroat Indian SUV market, this next-generation mid-size SUV is set to take on competitors such as the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.
More than simply a heavily disguised test mule can be seen in the most recent spy photos of the 2018 Renault Duster. Important components are already discernible, even though the entire design is still largely obscured.
The SUV has rounded headlamps positioned low on the bumper, brilliant LED daytime running lights (DRLs) on either side of a unique grille, and a flat front end with an upright hood. These cues give the Duster a more assertive stance that is obviously designed for tough appeal.
Functional roof rails and large outside rear-view mirrors are prominent on the sides, while connected tail lamps, a high-mounted stop lamp, an enlarged roof spoiler, and a shark-fin antenna are anticipated on the back, all of which point to a contemporary take on the iconic Duster design.
Prepared for a Difficult Segment War
Since its first launch in India, the market for the new-generation Duster has become much more competitive. Heavyweights like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Victoris and Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Honda Elevate, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, and Tata Sierra will be its rivals.
The redesigned Duster, which is expected to cost between ₹12 and ₹20 lakh, promises to provide excellent value in terms of features, functionality, and design.
Plans for Launch and What to Expect
Renault has confirmed that the Duster will return to India. The new model will be formally shown on January 26, 2026, which is also Republic Day. In an effort to regain its position in the Indian midsize SUV market, the French automaker views this launch as a pivotal moment. With an emphasis on a competitive driving experience and current features, the new Duster is anticipated to be built on a cutting-edge chassis shared with Nissan, and it will probably begin with petrol-only powertrains.
As the formal reveal date approaches, additional information about the SUV's interior, safety features, and precise engine options is probably going to surface. As of right now, the spied test mules point to a certain comeback for one of the brand's most recognizable models.
