MINI Countryman Electric Gets New Classic Trim in India; Prices Revised

Mini India has updated the Countryman Electric lineup with the introduction of a new Classic trim, priced at Rs. 58.10 lakh, ex-showroom. Slotted between the E and Favoured variants, it brings a more complete feature set, including a heated steering wheel, revised LED DRLs, and dual-tone exterior paint options. The previously available JCW trim, limited to just 20 units, has been discontinued. Additionally, prices of the E and Favoured variants have each been revised upward by Rs. 75,000.

  • The introduction of the new Classic trim in the MINI Countryman Electric lineup and the features it brings to the table

  • A price revision across existing variants and the discontinuation of the JCW trim

Mini India has quietly but decisively reshuffled the Countryman Electric's variant structure. A new Classic trim has been added, positioned between the E and Favoured variants, and priced at Rs. 58.10 lakh, ex-showroom. It commands a premium of Rs. 2.45 lakh over the entry-level E variant, but in return, it brings a noticeably richer feature set that makes it a more complete package for most buyers.

The Classic trim adds dual-tone leatherette and fabric upholstery in a grey and blue combination, a heated steering wheel, high beam assist, revised LED daytime running lights, and a rear centre armrest. It is also the first variant in the range from which buyers can opt for dual-tone exterior paint options, which gives the car a considerably more distinctive kerb presence.

JCW Trim Exits, Classic Steps In

The shake-up also sees the end of the JCW trim. Launched in June 2025 as a limited-run offering with just 20 units on offer, the John Cooper Works variant has now been discontinued.

In its place, the Classic trim arrives as a permanent addition to the lineup, offering buyers a more accessible route to a well-equipped Countryman Electric without the exclusivity and price premium of the JCW.

What Powers the Classic Variant

Under the skin, the Classic variant is equipped with a 66.4 kWh battery pack paired with a single electric motor producing 201 bhp and 250 Nm of torque.

Mini claims a range of 462 km on a single charge, and the sprint from 0 to 100 kmph takes 8.6 seconds. For those who want more performance, the range-topping ALL4 variant continues unchanged with a dual-motor setup delivering 309 bhp and 494 Nm of torque, along with a claimed range of 440 km.

Existing Variants See a Price Increase

Alongside the introduction of the Classic, Mini India has also revised the prices of the E and Favoured variants upwards by Rs. 75,000 each. The Countryman Electric now starts at Rs. 55.65 lakh, ex-showroom, for the base E variant. The lineup, in its updated form, spans from the E at the entry point, through the new Classic, to the Favoured, and all the way up to the ALL4 at the top.
