The Maruti Suzuki Invicto is all set to launch on July 5, 2023 and a few spy shots reveal the interiors and exterior details of the upcoming MPV. On the exterior, the Invicto will sport a different grille than its Toyota cousin. The shape will remain the same but with two sizeable chrome slats in the middle of the grille and Suzuki badging centre stage on the chrome strips.
The headlamp unit will also be a little different than the Toyota Hycross, and it gets the three-block signature DRLs. The front bumper will also be tweaked for a fresh look. It seems to miss out on a fog lamp unit. The profile reveals new alloy wheels and the absence of body cladding. The rear section remains similar to the Toyota Innova Hycross except for the three-part tail lamp unit.
The interiors get a blacked-out treatment with beige accents, a sunroof, and a touchscreen infotainment unit like the Toyota Innova Hycross. We can expect some cosmetic changes in the cabin to differentiate it from the Toyota counterpart, but the rest of it is likely to remain the same. Maruti Suzuki has opened bookings for the Invicto and interested customers can book the MPV for a token amount of Rs. 25,000 directly at a Nexa dealership or the official website. The Invicto will also be manufactured at Toyota’s Bidadi plant and supplied to Maruti Suzuki, much like the Grand Vitara. It will be available in seven and eight-seating layouts.
For the powertrain, we can expect the same 2.0-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine that does duty for the Toyota Innova Hycross to be under the hood of the upcoming Maruti Suzuki MPV. The engine belts out 171 bhp and the hybrid powertrain produces 180 bhp of peak power. Transmission options are likely to include a CVT or an e-CVT for the MPV.
The interior features could include Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, USB fast charging ports, multi-zone climate control, and ventilated and powered front-row seats to name a few.
The Toyota Innova Hycross retails at a starting price of Rs.18.55 lakh for the base variant and goes up to Rs. 30 lakh for the top model. The upcoming Maruti Suzuki MPV is likely to have the same retail bracket and it will be the most expensive Maruti Suzuki car in the fleet.
