XUV500’s little sibling, the XUV300 has seen a pause in the bookings for the subcompact SUV. The car has been awaiting a facelift for quite some time, and the new leaks suggest that the revamp is already underway.
In an Investor Meet, the executive director and CEO of Mahindra Auto, Mr Rajesh Jejurikar, in response to a question related to the waiting periods, mentioned that the numbers (sales) of the existing model is also being considered and hence no further bookings will be accepted till the car gets a refresh.
The car manufacturer was previously in the news as well, for being unable to fulfill the twenty nine thousand pending car models from the XUV range. While it has been reported that Mahindra has stopped taking XUV300 reservations, certain dealerships are still taking orders for the present stock. In addition, Mahindra has stated that it will be significantly cutting XUV300 production for the next several months in order to finish the outstanding orders. But even that will be over soon enough, because Mahindra is supposedly finished with the revamped XUV300, and it will be unveiled in the coming months.
