December turned the tables upside down as Kia India has already received more than 50,000 reservations for its newest Seltos model in just two months. With this accomplishment, Kia is now one of the mid-SUV segment's fastest manufacturers to reach this milestone. With all that we know the compact SUVs witnessed a total sales of over 41,000 units in December 2023, with the Kia Seltos emerging as the best-seller.
In addition, the company's domestic sales of 4 lakh units were achieved this month. Furthermore, since Kia India was founded, the automaker has sold 5.47 lakh Seltos SUVs domestically. After its July release, the Kia Seltos facelift received interest from the market once more, with over 50,000 reservations made in just two months. The automaker reports that 806 reservations for the 2023 Seltos are made daily. Unexpectedly, setups with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) represented almost half of all reservations, indicating that customers are becoming more and more drawn to advanced security technologies and modern technology.
Other than that the model has 32 unique features, including 17 ADAS Level 2 autonomous functionalities and 15 fundamental safety features that are common to all variants. In addition, the Seltos has a dual panoramic sunroof, a dual-screen panoramic display, and a dual-zone fully automatic air conditioning system. On July 14, 2023, reservations for the upgraded Seltos opened.
What can we expect from Hyundai Creta?
The Hyundai Creta was able to surpass the 9,000 unit sales mark as well, but its monthly sales decreased by more than 2,500 units. Compared to its average sales over the previous six months, its December 2023 sales were about 4,000 units lower. The Hyundai Creta is expected to get a facelift in January 2024, and once that happens, it can be anticipated that the sales will go up.
