After being conceptualized at Bharat Mobility Expo earlier this year, Isuzu unveiled the production version of its electric D-Max pickup truck recently at the 2025 Commercial Vehicle Show in Birmingham. The pickup is expected to enter the European market by late 2025, producing 190 PS in power and providing instant torque of 325 Nm with four-wheel-drive capability.
The electric D-Max has a range of 263 km on a single charge, which grants it suitability for both commercial and personal purposes in the growing segment of electric pickup trucks. The D-Max EV combines Isuzu's legendary strength with an environmentally friendly zero-emission powertrain to give the brand a big leap into electric commercial vehicles.
Electric Revolution: Isuzu Unveils Battery-Powered D-Max Pickup with Bold Design Elements
The body of the D-Max EV is very similar to that of the ICE sibling; the concept model was seen wearing a closed-off grille design, new trim for the light elements, and a restyled bumper section.
The concept also rode on a sportier dual-tone set of wheels. The production model, which was unveiled in Birmingham, however, has virtually the same styling features as the present ICE D-Max.

Power and Capability: Isuzu's Electric D-Max Performance Profile
The energy comes from a 66.9 kWh high-performance lithium-ion battery pack. The electric D-Max's sophisticated electric drivetrain is designed to provide heavy-duty capability on a par with the diesel model.
Dual-motor provides a combined power output of 140 kW / 190 PS (58 PS front and 132 PS rear). Torque output is 325 Nm (108 Nm front and 217 Nm rear). This is achieved approximately the same as the current D-Max 164 hp / 360 Nm 1.9-litre turbo-diesel engine.
Powertrain options for the ICE D-Max are market-dependent. In the electric D-Max, the 0-100 km/h sprint takes 10.1 seconds with the top speed limited at 128+ km/h over a distance of 263 km according to the WLTP.
This Isuzu D-Max EV is available in a 4×4 configuration, and the payload is 1 ton, and the towing capacity is 3.5 tons, along with zero emissions and Eco Mode for the betterment of range. Range enhancement is also complemented by sophisticated regenerative braking.
