Hyundai I20 N Line Facelift For Europe Unveiled A Closer Look At The Distinctive Features

Hyundai i20 N Line Facelift for Europe Unveiled: A Closer Look at the Distinctive Features

Hyundai has pulled the wraps off the facelifted i20 N Line designed exclusively for the European market, showcasing subtle yet impactful differences compared to its Indian counterpart. Let's delve into the distinctions that set the European-spec model apart.

Front View:

While maintaining a familiar front grille design, the European version of the i20 N Line features a slightly larger grille, providing a nuanced visual update. Notably, the fog lamp housing adopts a more triangular shape, and the front bumper exudes a sleeker profile without the red accents seen in the Indian-spec variant.

Side Profile:

The European iteration displays a sportier side cladding, enhancing its dynamic appeal. The 17-inch all-black alloy wheels contribute to a distinctive aesthetic, deviating from the 16-inch wheels seen in the Indian model.

Rear Styling:

Examining the rear profile, the European i20 N Line distinguishes itself with a chunkier and differently designed bumper, incorporating air dams on each side. Notably, the European version omits the chrome strip between the tail lights, setting it apart from its Indian counterpart.

Interior Enhancements:

Inside the cabin, both variants share the N Line-specific elements, maintaining a sporty ambiance. However, the European version introduces a notable upgrade with a 10.25-inch fully digital driver's display, akin to the facelifted Hyundai Creta. In contrast, the India-spec model features a smaller semi-digital driver's display.

Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS):

A significant addition to the European i20 N Line is the inclusion of an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS). This comprehensive suite comprises lane keep assist, park assist, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, and auto emergency braking. In contrast, the Indian-spec version offers a basic set of features, including 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), hill hold assist, rearview camera, and ISOFIX child seat anchors.

Mild-Hybrid Technology:

While both versions share the same 1-litre turbo-petrol engine, the European model gains an extra edge with the integration of 48V mild-hybrid technology. This addition not only contributes to enhanced fuel efficiency but also introduces a tuned variant with a slight torque boost, from 172 Nm to 200 Nm, while maintaining peak power at 120 PS.

These differentiating features underscore Hyundai's tailored approach to the European market, providing an enriched driving experience with advanced technology and distinctive styling elements.
