Honda Cars India stated that its new mid-size SUV, the Honda Elevate, has sold 20,000 units in just 100 days after its September 2023 introduction. This SUV comprised more than half of Honda's sales over the last three months, helping the business expand by 11% from September to November.
Yuichi Murata, Director of Marketing and Sales at Honda Cars India, expressed excitement at the Honda Elevate's success, which exceeded their expectations. Murata stated that attaining 20,000 sales in the first 100 days is a great achievement, demonstrating their consumers' trust and preference and establishing Honda as a prominent participant in the sector.
Murata stated that they have boosted Elevate production to meet demand and have altered the variants provided to match the present high demand for CVT versions. Until December 2023, the SUV is priced between Rs 10,99,900 and Rs 15,99,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
In particular, India is the first country in the world to produce and sell the Elevate. Due to the high global demand for SUVs, Honda intends to use India as a significant base for exporting this vehicle to other regions.
