The Hero Karizam XMR has been shown to dealers ahead of its launch. And it looks good in the images.
The spy shots of the Hero Karizma XMR has been doing rounds on the internet creating hype around the bike. It is expected to house a 210-cc, liquid-cooled engine mated to a five-speed gearbox pushing around 25 bhp and 20 Nm of torque. Going by the images, it has quite the street presence, it comes with a fairing and a bikini cowl over the dash. The suspension duties are done by a telescopic unit up front and a monoshock at the rear.
The braking system includes petal discs on both wheels. The front section houses LED headlamp setup with integrated turn indicators. The clip-on handlebar unit is raised, making the rider triangle a little aggressive. The digital dash could be similar to that on the Xpulse 200 with turn-by-turn navigation. The Karizma XMR gets a split seat setup that accents the sporty look. It also gets ABS rings at both ends, making it the first Hero bike to have dual-channel ABS setup.
A closer look at the bike reveals silver accents on the bike along with the dual-tone theme of the bike. Apart from the large fairing, the engine also gets a cowl for protection. The exhaust is also upswept in its angle, adding to the sporty look, especially with the silver accents on it. The bike gets a centre stand as well. We can expect Bluetooth connectivity and a USB port as well on the bike.
We can expect the bike to be introduced in the market around the festive season or close to it. It could have a sticker price of Rs. 1.70-1.80 lakh, and will lock horns with the likes of the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250, Bajaj Pulsar 200, and Yamaha R15 to name a few.
