The BMW X5 facelift gets both diesel and petrol powertrains. The X5 uses a 3.0-litre, in-line, six-cylinder, twin-turbocharged petrol engine that produces 375 bhp of power and 520 Nm of peak torque and the mild hybrid system bumps the torque by another 20 Nm. Compared to the outgoing model the power has been hiked by 46 bhp and the torque has also been bumped by 70 Nm. The diesel unit features a new common-rail direct injection system with solenoid valve injectors, steel pistons and an improved oil separation process. The diesel engine also works in tandem with a mild hybrid system that pushes 282 bhp of power and 650 Nm of peak torque. Both engines come mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox.

Interior features include Merino leather upholstery in five shades: Tartufo, Black, Black and Ivory White, and M Sport. The dash highlights the new BMW Curved Display with OS8 which is a 12.3-inch driver display and a 14.9-inch infotainment unit integrated as one.
