The BMW India group has registered the best-ever sales in the first of the year.
The BMW India group has recorded its best-ever half-year, quarter, and June sales in 2023. The BMW cars and Mini combined sold a solid 5,867 units, of which 5,476 were BMW cars and 391 Mini units. At the same time, BMW Motorrad sold 4,667 motorcycles. This translated to a 5.5 percent growth for BMW, three percent growth for the Mini brand, and a solid 50 percent growth for the BMW Motorrad.
The BMW electric lineup includes the BMW i7, BMW iX, BMW i4, and MINI SE. The company claims to have delivered eleven times more electric vehicles during January-June 2023 than in the same period in 2022. BMW also claims the best charging infrastructure in the premium segment with the BMW Group Dealer Network in 35 cities. The BMW X1 contributed over 20 percent to the overall sales. The company claims a strong order pipeline for the same and the launch of the X5 will further strengthen the momentum it has gathered.
The BMW Motorrad sales were led by the BMW G 310 R, BMW G 310 RR, and BMW G 310 GS with a combined share of nearly 90 percent. Other popular models were BMW S 1000 RR, BMW R 1250 GS / GSA, and BMW C 400 GT scooter.
