Kick Sauber’s C44
At a glamorous event held at London's Guildhall, Kick Sauber unveiled their 2024 rival, the C44, which is adorned with an eye-catching new fluorescent green and black livery. The Sauber-led team is starting a new chapter in its history as they bid farewell to Italian title sponsor Alfa Romeo. This year, they will compete as Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber.
According to the Swiss operation, a "slew of changes have been introduced" and the C44 is "a marked departure from its predecessor." A major adjustment is switching from push-rod to pull-rod. One of the most crucial areas for improvement when aiming for pure lap time is the C44's redesigned side pods, engine cover, and floor. "Some important updates" will be made to the vehicle "in the opening rounds," the team adds.
Sauber has had to replace its previous blade design with a more traditional 'A' shape due to a regulation increase in the load test for the roll hoop, which was brought about as a result of Zhou Guanyu's roll-over accident at the 2022 British Grand Prix.
The car's front wing appears to be the same as the one seen at the end of 2023, though it might not be the final design. In a similar vein, Sauber has taken care to make sure the floor edges' intricate geometry is hidden. The new car for Kick Sauber, which features a new pull-rod front suspension and an RB19-like radiator inlet, will be driven by Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu.
Haas’ VF-24
Following McLaren's car launch event in January, Haas was the second team to reveal their new lead product for the F1 2024 season. The Haas team hopes that their new car in 2024 will offer some improvement after finishing last in the 2023 season.
Several digital renders of Haas's 2024 rival, the VF-24, have been made public. It sports an updated version of the company's classic black, red, and white livery.
The American team has opted for a low-key launch, as has been the practice for several years. Instead of revealing the real deal when it takes to the track for a shakedown at Silverstone on February 11 with Nico Hulkenberg at the wheel, they would rather release images of their new rival. The team will start the 2024 season with the same drivers—Nico Hulkenberg and Kevin Magnussen—but with new principal Ayao Komatsu.
Williams FW46
Following a successful 2023 season, Williams was the most recent team to debut their 2024 car at a glamorous event in New York on Tuesday.
With minimal design alterations, the new Williams car, FW46, adds a deeper shade of blue to the mix. Promising drivers Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant will test FW46, which is predicted to perform better in 2024.
Before the official pre-season testing, which starts at the same Sakhir location on February 21, the fully developed FW46 will make its track debut at a promotional filming day in Bahrain on February 20.
