Pre-bookings are now open across all authorized Mini dealerships in India, with a token amount of Rs 1.5 lakh.
The 2026 Cooper Convertible JCW Pack gets extensive sportier styling inside and out.
Mini India has opened pre-bookings for the 2026 Cooper Convertible John Cooper Works Pack, with a confirmed launch slated for later this month. This announcement arrives barely a month after the debut of the Cooper S Victory Edition in India, and the brand shows little sign of easing the pace.
Interested buyers can walk into any authorised Mini dealership and place their order by paying a token amount of Rs 1.5 lakh. No pricing has been announced yet, though Mini has confirmed the launch will take place in April 2026.
The JCW Pack does not introduce an entirely new car. Rather, it takes the Cooper S Convertible as its base and layers on a set of performance-inspired visual and equipment upgrades that lend the open-top Mini a noticeably more focused character.
A Sharper Exterior With an Unmistakably Dark Personality
The JCW Pack is offered in two exclusive colours, Legend Grey and Midnight Black. Both are accompanied by a gloss-black treatment that extends across the front grille, door handles, ORVM housings, wheel arches, side skirts and bumpers.
The soft-top fabric roof also receives a jet-black finish, pulling the overall look together cohesively. Those who opt for Legend Grey get an additional set of black bonnet stripes.
Completing the visual package are 17-inch JCW alloy wheels in black and JCW-branded Sport brakes. The electrically operated soft top, carried over from the Cooper S Convertible, can be raised or lowered in 18 seconds at speeds of up to 30kph.
A Cabin That Puts the Driver First
Inside, Mini has taken a deliberate step away from chrome and leather, instead using recycled fabric for the dashboard and door panels in a two-tone textile theme. The black Sport seats come with a contrasting red stripe on the front headrests and JCW logos, while the JCW Sport steering wheel is fitted with paddle shifters to keep the driver engaged. JCW badging is also present on the door sills, and the headliner receives a suede-like finish.
On the technology front, the 2026 Convertible JCW Pack is well-equipped. It features a circular OLED touchscreen infotainment system, a head-up display, adaptive dampers, Mini's connected-car suite, wireless charging, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a Harman Kardon audio system.
Safety features include Level 1 ADAS technology such as lane departure warning and front collision warning, alongside parking aids.
Performance Credentials and What to Expect on Pricing
Under the bonnet sits a 2.0-litre direct-injection turbocharged petrol engine that develops 204hp and 300Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
Mini claims a 0-100kph time of 6.9 seconds, which is 0.3 seconds behind the hard-top version of the JCW Pack. The difference is most likely a result of the additional weight introduced by the convertible roof mechanism.
As for pricing, Mini India is yet to share figures. For context, the hard-top JCW Pack is currently on sale at Rs 55.90 lakh (ex-showroom), and the convertible variant is expected to command a premium over that.
