The VinFast VF MPV 7 is officially set to be priced in India on 15 April 2026, marking the brand's third model in the country.
The three-row electric MPV runs on a 60.1kWh battery with over 500km of claimed range and will be sold only as an outright purchase, with no BaaS option.
VinFast's Third India Model Enters the Electric MPV Segment
Vietnamese automobile brand VinFast is all set to announce official prices for the VF MPV 7 in India on 15 April 2026. This makes it the third model the brand has introduced in the country, following the VF 6 and VF 7 electric SUVs.
The electric MPV segment in India is still finding its feet, and VinFast's entry into it is a notable moment. The VF MPV 7 pitches itself as a practical, family-focused proposition with a credible range figure and a straightforward ownership structure.
Who Does the VF MPV 7 Go Up Against
The MPV segment is turning out to be exciting with more electric names joining in, and for the VF MPV 7, the alternatives already in the market include the Kia Carens Clavis EV and the BYD eMax 7.
Both are well-regarded in their own right, which means VinFast will need its pricing to do considerable heavy lifting on launch day. The estimated price band of Rs. 19.90 lakh to Rs. 23.90 lakh positions it competitively, though the final figures announced on the 15th will be the real test.
Pre-Bookings Already Open Ahead of the Official Launch
From April 02, 2026, VinFast began accepting bookings for the VF MPV 7 through its official website and its network of 50 authorised dealerships nationwide, with a booking amount of Rs. 21,000. That the brand moved to open bookings nearly a fortnight before the official launch suggests a degree of confidence in the product. Deliveries for the MPV 7 are set to start right after its 15 April launch.
Battery, Power Output, and Claimed Range
The VF MPV 7 gets a 60.1kWh battery pack that powers a motor producing 201bhp and 280Nm of torque, with a claimed range of over 500km on a full charge as per MIDC standards.
The MPV supports 11kW AC charging and 80kW DC fast charging, with the DC fast charger boosting the battery from 10 to 70 per cent in approximately 30 minutes. Those are respectable figures for this class of vehicle, and a 500km-plus range should go some way towards alleviating the range anxiety that still holds many Indian buyers back from making the switch to electric.
Seven Seats Only, No Battery Subscription Option
The model will be available exclusively in the seven-seat configuration. A fleet version will also be offered, branded as the Limo Green for commercial buyers, with that launch expected later in the year.
On the ownership front, VinFast has ruled out the BaaS (Battery as a Service) scheme, meaning the VF MPV 7 will be available only as an outright purchase. For buyers, this means no monthly battery rental charges; the price you pay at the showroom is the price you own it for.
Colour Options and Added Buyer Benefits
The VinFast VF MPV 7 will be available in six colours: Infinity Blanc, Jet Black, Zenith Grey, Solar Ruby, Moonlit Ocean, and Introspective Brown, giving buyers a fair degree of personalisation.
Beyond the car itself, VinFast will also extend several benefits to VF MPV 7 buyers, including a 75 per cent buyback scheme, a special incentive of Rs. 2 lakh for those converting from a petrol or diesel car, free charging until 2029, and a 10-year warranty.
