Hyundai Motor India has introduced the new Vibe Edition of the Grand i10 Nios, with prices starting at Rs 7.09 lakh (ex-showroom). The new edition is available in Sportz and Sportz (O) trims, with both manual and AMT gearbox options, bringing cosmetic updates, added features, and a dashcam that Hyundai claims is a first in the segment.
The Grand i10 Nios has long held its ground as one of India's most dependable hatchbacks, resonating with over five lakh customers across the country. With the Vibe Edition, Hyundai is clearly aiming at a younger audience, buyers who want a bit more personality from their daily driver without spending significantly more.

What the Vibe Edition Actually Brings to the Table
Styling Changes That Stand Out
The Vibe Edition introduces a set of exclusive visual upgrades over the standard Sportz trims. These include black-painted alloy wheels, a black interior theme with red inserts, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. It is a tasteful package, nothing too loud, but enough to set the Vibe Edition apart in a car park.
The Segment-First Dashcam
The headline feature is undoubtedly the dashcam, which Hyundai claims is the first of its kind in this segment. It supports multiple recording modes, driving, emergency and event recording, vacation mode, on-demand video, and photo capture, with footage accessible via a dedicated mobile app.
In an era where road incidents are increasingly common, this is a genuinely useful addition rather than mere spec-sheet filler.
Features and Comfort
Both Vibe Edition variants carry over an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, projector headlamps, cruise control, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, six airbags, and a highline tyre pressure monitoring system from the standard Sportz trims.
The Sportz (O) Vibe additionally gets a smart key with push-button start, a feature previously reserved for the Asta trim and above.
A New Colour Worth Talking About
Alongside the Vibe Edition, Hyundai has introduced a Titan Grey Matte exterior colour for the Grand i10 Nios lineup. The company claims it is the only matte finish available in this segment, and it should appeal strongly to buyers who want their hatchback to look a little different from the crowd.
Powertrain Remains Unchanged
The 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine, producing 83hp and 114Nm of peak torque, carries over unchanged from the standard Grand i10 Nios, paired with either a five-speed manual or an AMT gearbox. It is worth noting that the CNG powertrain is not available with the Vibe Edition and remains limited to the standard trims.
The Grand i10 Nios competes with the Maruti Suzuki Swift and Tata Tiago in the hatchback segment. The Vibe Edition does not alter the mechanical formula, but adds enough visual flair and tech appeal to give the car a fresh competitive edge.
